I’m at a stalemate with my writing. How about going off topic?

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by Blue Night, Feb 12, 2012.

Do you have any deadbeats at your work?

I mean someone who is part of the problem and not part of the solution.

Those who sit down instead of stand up.

Do you have any of those?

Do you know someone who gives you a thousand reasons why something can’t be done?
Instead of one reason why it can?

Do you know someone like that?

Nobody is a part of the problem and nobody is a part of the solution. We are each a catalyst of both at the same time, because we are alive.

And sometimes I'm that guy. Sometimes others I know are that guy/gal. Does it matter if they're a part of your hypothetical problem? If you're a part of your hypothetical solution, why should any of it matter?

I don't understand this post at all to be honest.

Don't knock 'em. Make you look pretty good, I imagine.

Rather better than working with a bunch of enthusiastic, keen-as-mustard, proficient sorts. What an appalling thought that is.

I'm not sure I fully understand this thread but... I don't think many people get by like that for an extended period. They either shape up, are good at least some of the time, or they get fired. People are good in some ways and good at some things - and not so good in other ways/at other things. It all depends.

Is this a gripe about work colleagues? If it is, don't get me started on the subject of shirkers...
