    Food Combos

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by poetryliberates, Feb 15, 2007.

Ok i think there has been a time in everyones life, where someon else has curled their nose up and almost passed out at the sight of something your eating.

So whats the wierdest food combo you have ever put together?

Mine would have to be avocado, cheese, and poached eggs all mushed up together:D

Back when I was in college, the Dairy Queen allowed you to request of mixture of flavors for their shakes.

Lemon-Lime and Egg Nog together. Sounds kind of nasty, but really has a good taste. Surprised me too.

Pasta, tuna and gravy. Its delicious, and not that weird after all. I'm kinda simple when it comes to food.

Sticky rice, melted dark chocolate, rolled up into balls, eaten cold. Looked like crap, tasted bad, never tried it again. If I do it again I'll use a sweeter chocolate.

don't knock it til ya try it Poetry, and desperate times called for some very desperate measures.

I also once had a nasty pregnancy craving, it was a meat pie with half the meat taken out, and egg inside, also with bits off celery and pumpkin and garlic. Then cooked with the lid on of course and topped with mayonnaise and mustard afterwards. Believe me it don't taste good at all, is one of the most revolting things I have ever tasted in my entire life.

But one thing I found that tastes good is French style cheesecake topped with chocolate yogo....yumm.....lol

    Microwaved anchovies.

Don't screw your face up, everyone I convinced to try them ended up liking them. I haven't had them in ages, but they're like little, salty seafood crackers. Melted on the tongue. Lovely.

Of course any more than three, and I'd feel like I was dying from a salt overdose. Moderation, that's the key.

Yep, took me three months to find it due to living in a small town. Never try to make a recipe for a food you heard about on an anime.

Ariella, that sounds horrifyingly horrible. I don't think there is any excuse for that.
