    Small victory

Discussion in 'Publishing' started by Joules03, Jul 23, 2010.

A magazine is interested in one of my stories! It's not a popular magazine and I don't think it's too hard to get published in it, but my story may possibly be a featured story complete with illustrations! I was determined to have something - anything - published this year, and it looks like my goal is being met!

I just thought I would share my success - if anyone would understand my excitement, I knew the people here would! (My non-writing friends are very supportive but don't exactly understand my perma-grin!)

Congratulations! No matter how small or big a magazine is, if it is a legit magazine you have reasons to be proud of. Also, from what I hear, even small magazines are flooded with story submissions, all the more reason for you to celebrate.

    Joules03,

Don't undersell yourself. Maybe the magazine that is interested in your story isn't to be found on magazine stands world wide, but I suspect that there was competition for the publishing slots available in it.

One success, and hopefully many more in the future. Only way for that to happen is to write some more!

    Terry
