i'm appalled by the mean-minded few who have used this thread to demean and insult one who has given so much to making this the best writing site on the web!

go away and spread your vitriol elsewhere... leave this thread to those who want to thank cogito for his help and show their respect for his years of service...

 

I always look up to Cogito. The man has this aura of respect about him. One look and you know he means buisness; and at the same time he is a wise mentor.

 

People, the normal rules of forum etiquette aren't suspended in this thread. If you post insulting comments, you will be infracted.

If you don't have anything nice to say, please don't say anything.

 

Just logged on after a long absence, very sorry to hear the news. I've been a moderator myself and it's often a thankless task and in a lot of cases unpaid. Huge thanks Cogito for doing a great job, and all the best for the future.

Thanks for everything you've done for this site. This site has been such a help to me and I've grown so much as a writer because of it.

Take the break. Sounds like you need it. I think it's good to step down if something is interfering in your life so much. Glad you're sticking around. We've all learned a lot from you.

Seriously, though, thank you for everything you've done. Moderating is a thankless job, and I've been here over two years and seen myself all your hard work and dedication. I appreciate everything you've done, and you definitely deserve a break, too. Thanks, Cog.

 

I haven't been here long but Cogito's intelligent advice was one of the reasons I joined this site.

Thanks for all your hard work, sorry you got burned out and dreaded coming on (I was a moderator once upon a time, I can relate) hopefully you can now enjoy the site as a writer.. but please, when you see stupidity at work step in with your wise words and save us!
