Craft beer -- I like IPAs and Stouts/dark beers. My cousin brews a peanut butter stout that will blow your mind.

I'm also a firm believer that one shouldn't have to wait for a celebration to enjoy a nice glass of champagne.

Varying amounts of coffee: I go through phases that alternate between nearly reaching overdose, followed by withdrawal, and then succumbing to temptation.

And absurd amounts of chocolate. My boss likes to keep alcohol filled chocolates in his office which I shamelessly partake of. But the alcohol is optional for me, while the chocolate is not.

I try to just drink what the locals do as far as beer, so currently mostly Kirin Lager or Suntory Malts. Hard liquor? 8 year old Wild Turkey. Due to the taxes, it's actually considerably cheaper here than in the states, which is just weird.

On a single large rock, of course.

Ooh, yes. But which one? I love Bollinger, but Taitinger and Piper-Heidsieck not so much (I'd quite like to keep my tooth enamel), I'd rather have a good prosecco and save £20.

Coffee, mostly. I'm a wine lover as well, and my go-to is Snoqualmie's Naked Reisling. My husband is a huge single-malt fan who loves Laphroaig, and he got me onto Glenmorangie's Nectar d'Or.

But most days? Coffee. Lotsa coffee.

Last year I got hospitalized because I overdosed on my poison of choice. It caught me by surprise too! I was at my work, doing my usual spreadsheet organizing nightmare when all of a sudden my chest started to hurt and my heart began beating like a jackhammer. I had to leave. I was sweating and shaking. When I got to the ER, I stayed over for four hours before they discharged me. What did me over? Coffee.

Morning: Two 8 oz cups of Keurig Coffee

Afternoon: 10 oz of Coke (the soda one, not the sniff-sniff one)

Late Afternoon: 16 oz of Starbucks Coffee, the one where they actually grind the beans and pour hot water through it.

    Those did me.

Then again, I was quitting smoking during that time, and from what I've read, after the fact, was nicotine helped balance caffeine. I was four months nicotine free, so my body just went up and said, "yeah, this is too much for me... ACID REFLUX TIME!!!"

I thought I was having a heart attack, but it was ruled out that I had GERD and that I had too much acid in my stomach. The caffeine high didn't help either.

    Glad you're still with us.

I'm managing my drinking now because I have the tendency to go overboard and drink too much.

Cigarettes with alcohol, cigarettes with caffeine. All the other stuff are simply rare, happy intermissions. I'm kind of addicted to peaches and nectarines too, this time of year.

Ditto pour moi. Though when I can justify the frivolity, I am a cider drinker.

I don't drink coffee or tea, I do however, enjoy my quiet glass of gin with ice and hopefully a slice (or two) of lemon. Sometimes I mix it with lemonade, but typically have the gin unmixed.

That said, I just cannot say no to a nice cold beer on a hot day, sublime. I must say though, that i will flat out refuse any beer if it is a: Corona, Heineken, Victoria Bitter, Melbourne Bitter, Fosters or Carlton. My favourite, i must say, is Feldschlosschen, Salamander or Kronenburg.

Depends on what time I am writing, generally liquid poison is rum over ice. The first one is always a little hot on the pallet but after that it all goes down smoothly.
Other poisons will not be specified for legal reasons, however I take a lot of inspiration from Hunter S Thompson. Take from that what you will.

Coffee, tea, bad gay romance videos. I'm not exactly strong-willed when it comes to temptation. Though I despise cigarettes and I have no interest in alcohol so far.

I used to enjoy an aged, single malt, or a decent bottle of red but, due to being on medication, they are now verboten.

Still, better sober than mad in the head. ;)

If i fancy a non soft beverage, it is either Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey and coke, or a Lime Vodka and lemonade, however i do also rather enjoy Swedish Ciders (Kopparburg, Rekorderlig, something of that ilk) its the balance of flavour/cider type that i like with those where most tend to be too sweet or acidic for my liking (the acidity is what puts me off wine too)

My missus drinks rose and lemonade, around a 50/50 mix. That takes away the cut you get with some wines. Never been a fan of JD myself, Jim Beam is my choice when it comes to bourbon
