Sold my SF Short "Vegetable Matters"!

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by TWErvin2, Sep 3, 2007.

    Hey Folks,

MindFlights accepted my Science Fiction short story, "Vegetable Matters" for publication. Won't be published until 2008--maybe January--but in the world of publishing, that's not too long to wait at all.

    Thanks Folks!

Cogito, the trick is to have a lot of stuff out there, and to keep submitting if a piece gets rejected...and to keep writing new pieces. This is easier, of course, when writing short stories as opposed to novels (but I have two out there on submission too). I'll be sure to post when the story is available.

    Anthraxx,
I hope I manage to sell a few more too! ;)

    Domoviye,
I think you'll agree that there's a number of folks here that have equal or better talent than I have. While it takes a little luck, it also takes members completing and editing/revising, submitting and being persistent. The point is, that if I can do it, so can others.

    Banzai,
Thanks for taking the time to post your support.

    Terry

    Exactly. Thats why its inspirational.
It's all very well to see novels in bookstores, and say I can do that. Or to just write up a few good stories and compare them to stuff you see on the net.
Having you post your successes here, is kind of nice. Hopefully I'll be able to do the same in the next few months.
    Cheers.
