This is a new concept to me. I have just stumbled across as I was discussing and looking up sophistication with someone. Have you studied it or came across it?
Sophistry. My mom is a master of this. It is kind of like a skill that you can develop to psychologically manipulate others, or to have your way in arguments and discussions. If you are not well versed in sophistry yourself, then I would highly recommend that you become familiar with it. If you do not know how to effectively employ it, at the very least you must be able to defend yourself from it.
I've been a sophist most of my life. I can lie so convincingly, you'd swear I was telling you the truth. Hence, a career in writing fiction.
