I feel it's better to wait until all entries are in and the contest is closed.

Nineteen entries so far. A bigger turnout than I expected!

Will the entry threads be open to comments after the contest is over? Some of them are really cool and I'd love to tell the author that. Obviously I understand that comments or likes may influence judging for now.

Yep, you can use the thread doggiedude linked to. :)

I'm sure there will also be discussion in the winners' thread when the results are announced. And some authors put their stories in the workshop after the contest, so they can get more feedback.

Dang, loads of last minute posts.
Guess everyone was working on it until now just to make sure it was the best it could be.

Just to reiterate: All the judges will NOT VIEW the discussion-thread that is in place already! :)
So commenting in this thread is fine and will not influence our voting.

We'll be announcing the results on 10 July, just under two weeks :)

    So,

Thanks to all of you who have worked your *fingers* off and nibbled your fingernails, not to mention scraped your fingertips bloody to supply us with amazing entries, the judges will be quite busy for the next time.

We want to express our sincere thanks to all of you who have made this possible, by taking part, and foregoing probably quite a few hours where you could have slept, met friends or worked on your own WIPs. I hope the writing has been as much fun for you as it is for us judges to read it!

Just thank you very much, you are great people to work with :)

Thanks to you for taking the time to go through all the entries with the big red pen. :D
(And for those who donated the prize money. Looks like $$ is a good incentive.)

I'm blown away by the variety of stories I got to read. So many different genres, styles, voices, topics...

Also you don't know how hard it is not to look at the discussion thread now I've finished giving my scores. SO HARD.

Are the judges discussing the stories or are you guys waiting until after all the votes are in?

We're all scoring independently so we aren't influenced by other people's thoughts. :)

Any chance when this is all over, you could post all the judges scoring for each story with any comments that went with them? You could leave out the judge names and only let us all know your thoughts.

@doggiedude We're still discussing exactly how to give feedback but have all agreed that we will.

Hardly early if it's likely to be after 12am GMT, you'll be on time for the 10th ;)
