    School!

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by Kratos, Aug 25, 2008.

Well, for me, school starts tomorrow. It's 9:00 PM, and I have to wake up at 6 tomorrow to get to school by 7:30. I'm going to be a sophomore in high school (10th grade), and I'm not ready for summer to end.

How about any of you who are in school?

Bah. Sophomore year'll be a breeze for you guys. Trust me. I'll be a Junior this year, and unlike you guys, I'm looking forward to it. You know. Back to life where you actually have things to do. =) Call me crazy (I know I am) but sitting around for a couple months doing absolutely nothing except... Well I dunno... I worked most of this summer, and besides that, I was either trying to A) Fix my computer B) Get my computer to work or C) on my computer.

Did any of you do anything semi-productive this summer?

    The college guy

I’m going to break the high school-sophomore thread and say college starts tomorrow. While I don’t want summer to end, I’m really looking forward to school. Odd huh?

I just visited some of my friends after they had moved in to their dorms today. I was the only one with a car, so I laid it on extra thick to be a jerk. ;)

I guess that's the advantage to commuting to school. Kind of requires transportation.

First class is Thursday because I don't have any Wednesday classes. Whoohoo. The class I'll enjoy most isn't till Friday, though... Marine Bio intro course, and we go to the Salt Marsh the school owns and wade around collecting and observing. Pretty cool for a freshman level first semester course. ;)

    Freshman freshman FROSHY PRIDE!

Yeah, I'm going into freshman year, and school for us starts on September 2nd. (It always starts the day after Labor Day, which pisses me off because Monday is the first this year. Aargh.) I have one class with a friend and that's it so far. It's seriously pissing me off. Also, I have the English teacher from the black lagoon, which annoys me because I like going to English to, you know, learn and be challenged instead of take dumb, dumb notes about dumb, dumb things.

Also, I still need to read Great Expectations. I actually like it a lot so far, so that's all good. (Still long though.)

Freshman pride? Hate to break it to you, but that just means you're back at the bottom of the food chain again. (Unless you go to a school that goes 7-9 or something like that.) Hey, and you know, English may not be that bad. After all, supposedly, in my Sophomore year, I got the English teacher from hell, but she was actually really awesome.

Bah. Stupid college people. =P Just kidding. I'm actually really jealous because I'm looking forward to going to college. It'll be great.

I totally agree! I'm tired of doing nothing. I'm looking forward to have my brain working again :p

School starts for me at 11am tomorrow ;) Pretty excited, even if it is a new school xD

Hope you all have a wonderful start of the year :)

I have school next week on Monday. Nope, no mercy for laborers. :( I'm ready this year, last year I was like 'NO!' but this year I'm actually looking forward to it. I personally hate school though, being a social outcast and all, but I guess I'm tired of being, well, tired. And it's my last year. Bingo!

Yah, I've been doing absolutely nothing this summer. Laying around, watching TV, working a little, working on my writing...I guess I am ready to go back to school. I'm going into 8th grade. So, I have to get used to waking up at 5:00 am and having about 4 quizzes each day. I actually like school but, I can't stand homework (especially being in all honor classes). The last thing I want to do after coming home from school is spend hours on homework and trying to fit in dinner and still have at least 10 minutes for myself out of my day.

And I start uni on (I think) 28th September.

Wow! I might have seen you (probably not lol)

Is law easy? My friend is doing it As and A at the moment

But I do some refereeing up by the uni, where BH Albion train. I drive past it alot as well, half of my matches are the other side of Brighton.

Lol. My exams finished on 19th May. So that's almost 4 months all in all. Wow, it does seem long now... :p

And yeah, I'll be staying on campus. An hour and a half commute is more than I can be bothered with.

Seemed like a nice place. And the city is only 8 minutes away by the regular shuttle bus :) I'm looking forward to it.

You asked what a sophomore is right? Well, it's your second year of either High School (9th-12th grade), which would be 10th grade, or your second year of college.

For me its 10th grade, second year of High School.
