I say Obama. I don't think that the country wants another Republican, and I seriously doubt that they would elect a woman to the Presidency. The United States has been one of the slower countries when it comes to social change, and I doubt that it's evolved far enough to elect a woman to such a powerful position.
This is a hard one... hmmm. I'm gonna go with McCain. He really seems to be winning the republican voters well while the Democrates seem rather divided over Obama and Hillary. Of course... what do I know about politics I'm a rebellious apathetic
McCain. I think Obama will come close, but he lacks experience and that will hurt him a lot. Maybe in 2012 after he has some more experience and a thicker resume. I don't think Hillary will win, because of who she is, not that she's a woman. She hasn't been consistent, she changed her stance on drivers licenses for illegal immigrants 3 times in 5 minutes. People are sick of the Clintons name. And she has a tendency to talk down to people in an insulting way. McCain has experience, he's fairly moderate, and he is the only one calling for a smaller government. Unless Obama starts coming up with concrete ideas not just messages of hope, I think McCain will win. But it won't be easy.
Well, the Republicans totally effed up our country in every way you could possibly imagine, dragged us into a pointless, unwinnable war that we're borrowing money from China hand-over-fist in order to finance and which caused thousands of human beings to die needlessly... So, to answer your question, McCain.
If the electoral votes are representative of the sentiments of the people, Obama will win. From what I've seen, the majority of America (aside from a few conservative-heavy states) is fed up with Republican presidencies and will be voting accordingly. And due to the heavy over-coverage of Obama's "massive lead" of about 60 votes (1281 against 1218 for Hillary last I checked) I can't see much of a future for her unless alot of the superdelegates vote in her favor.
I don't really like any of the candidates except Ron Paul, but since he has relatively no chance of winning I'll go with McCain. I would hope that Barrack wins, but I don't dig his ideas of socialized medicine. Either that or Huckabee would be cool, cuz he plays bass guitar.
clinton's dead in the water, now that o has 10 wins in a row to her 10 losses and got the teamsters' endorsement today... plus, she's just not likable and her hubby is shooting her down daily... mccain's a zombie with a way-past-the-expiry date stepford wife robot at his side, gives speeches that put you to sleep, or make you plug your ears, to not be so embarrassed for him... i can't see him winning in a general election, especially since he's a bush clone and the majority of americans want bush and his bleep gone, won't want to replace him with more of the same... which leaves o becoming the next 'charismatic' us president, though he will be a much more honest and better one than jfk, imo...
Clinton or Obama. As I have stated before. I am really looking forward to another race or sex as our president. Americans seem to big headed and have a swelled head. They can ignore whatever they want as long as it doesn't affect them. But even when it does effect them they tend to ignore it. Men have ego issues. Woman don't. American men can push away situations they want. Other ethinicty don't have that luxury. Thats why both of them would be a good start on a new America attitude. But then again people aren't smart. Most Americans are dumb. Cause they voted for that idiot president George Bush. I don't mean to sound racist or rude. Thats my humble opinion and I'll stick to it. And if the government reads this its Freedom of Speech. People are obligied to their opinions.
I asked you about this in a different thread and you never answered me. What are you talking about? American men can push away situations they want? The way you've worded this, it sounds like "other" ethnicities aren't American... What is an American man in your opinion? What are you trying to say?
I mean those who live in cities. I mean those people who live in apartments, houses, and can waste whatever they want. Situations they push away everything. Guy gets rob. Its none of their business and they leave it alone. Or better yet man gets murder. Lets play homage to his family and put him in the newspaper. Breast cancer donations. Its a nice idea, but do we really know where that money goes. Walking around won't cure breast cancer if it did it would have been cured. Mnay people are ignorant and block away problems that don't concern them. But those problems can concern them. No one wants to help anyone. If it isn't part of their life its not their fault..
...What? Are you saying that a woman or a minority would be a better candidate for the Presidency because they live in squalor?
sorry, leaka, but that's really a load of nonsense, to put it politely... you're making very poor and ridiculously lopsided conclusions from what seems to be pitifully little knowledge of the subject... and most of what you've said there makes no sense at all...
To say that a minority or a woman is better than a White American is rather foolish. There have been a number of fantastic women and Non-white leaders in other countries that are comparable to the US. There have been some terrible ones. Why should what a person has between their legs, or the colour of their skin matter? The only thing that matters should be their idea's, willingness to do what they believe is right, skills, and intelligence. If they can prove they have those four things than it is up to the people to decide if they deserve to lead. Sex and race should not be a part of it.
Ok. That explains why the Devil has been annoying my parents wanting to know if they want soul insurance. And here I was blaming the Asian neo-pagan witches. Silly me.
I guess I am ok since I am not male. Had enough common sense to marry a Metis man. I must be a genius and could solve all the worlds problems if men would listen.
