What did you do after finishing your first writing project ?

i finished about half an hour ago i am now eating ice cream

 

I went to work. With a big smile on my face!

 

As I recall (it was a long time ago), I had a beer and went to bed.

 

Probably sent half a dozen excited texts to mates who'd had to put up with daily progress reports. Not sure they've forgiven me yet.

what do you mean by finished?... got to the end of the first draft?... or completed your polished, final draft, after too many edits to count?

after the former, i probably had a celebratory drink and then went to bed, for the first full night's sleep in weeks/months...

after the latter, i most likely started writing query letters to agents...

 

I forced myself to focus on what my fifth grade teacher was going on about and at the end of the class, I gave her the piece for the school yearbook.

 

Bed. I think the only 'trend' in my work is that I tend to finish drafts late at night. By that point all I want to do is go to bed.
