Terraformed Mars questions

    It's a screenplay but it could be a book. I need to get the backstory done before I can develop the plot and characters.

    If you had the means to compress Mars' mass into a smaller diameter, you could have Earth-normal gravity on a smaller Mars. On the other hand, if you could manage such a feat, you may want to petition the Q Continuum for membership.

    Surface gravity is a function both of planetary mass AND radius.

    Hi Uberwatch,

    As Wreybies pointed out, it's possible but only if humans are inside a rotating spaceship or structure. However, once they go outside, there's no realistic way of changing the gravitational pull. Since you aren't writing hard science fiction, I think you could make a hand waving argument and get away with it, though that's just my opinion as a reader of science fiction.
