Never know, some people prefer there food burnt. My mother`s that way, I could never understand that.
That moment when you finally decide on a writing project, that seems to be helping you find you`r voice and realize that you won't have time to do much work on it as the next two weeks are gonna be eaten up by the bloodly holidays.
TMW you return to work after 8 weeks on sick leave to discover that you have 519 unread emails. closely followed by TMW you have 519 unread emails but less than 30 of them are in anyway important, and less than 10 could be described as critical.
It`s really not that high a number as far as emails go if you`re considering a large amount of them are junk anyways. Inboxes fill up with clutter quickly, mines a mess.
This is true but the work account filters out all the spam, phishing and other crap - that was 519 in the actual emails box, the junk email would have been auto deleted each week (this week there were 78 so far)
TMW I realize I've spent literally weeks of my life playing unfun games for the story, when I could watch the story on youtube....
TMW you wake up from a few hour nap, go downstairs and hear Trump on TV. TMW you remember he's in your city delivering a speech. TMW you go back upstairs. No, I don't need to get stressed out.
That moment when you realize the thread you started is up to 152 pages and you're like, "Wow, I wish I was getting royalties."
That moment when you realize that time runs funny at the Pole because it's 364 years until next Christmas. Poor Unbelievers.
TMW a casual acquaintance remembers that you told him you'd visit relatives for Christmas and there is an airline strike coming up - and he tells you about it, asking if you are flying with this specific airline. Yes. Thank you Kennie, I never thought that you'd remember or care Closely followed by TMW you realise that you need to change to a flight on the next day and that means spending 1.5 days (TWO nights) at the airport, because on this specific day literally NO PUBLIC TRANSPORT is operating and taking a taxi (or a hotel) is not covered by your budget
Not in here, and but just no, don't think so Anyway, the little kindnesses make the most difference. *admonishes moose* You stepped into this specific trap yourself, yknow .
TMW you realize that most of the people you went to school didn't change much, beyond getting fatter.
TMW in 1996 summer Olympics. Gymnast Kerri Strug stuck the landing on her final vault while suffering from a broken ankle. She needed to stick the landing for the team to win Gold. Her coach, Bela Karolyi, carried her off the mat when it was over. One of the most inspirational Sports moments I have ever witnessed.
TMW you're not sure if the author just pulled a cleaver twist in her novel or if you had been an inattentive reader and misunderstood who was who in the story... Either way, I was happily surprised: "what the fuck, he's The Guy? I thought that one was The Guy!"
That moment when you buy your boyfriend a nerf gun for christmas purely so you can add "have a nerf war" to you date night jar.
TMW when you realise you need to rewrite the last three chapters of your WIP because they are a load of boring twaddle
TBH its not a total rewrite, i just rethought it a bit while i was walking the dog to make it more active rather than passive (this is the three chapters you've not seen yet)
