    Character Clinic

Discussion in 'Support & Feedback' started by Snicket, Mar 4, 2013.

I was considering maybe we could have a sub section in the character category for a Character Emergency Room. Where people can put their profiles of their characters and ask for help, and have the area more directed to building the character instead of General Character Questions.

I'm not really sure how or if this would work -- only you can build your character.

The only way I see to do this is to show an excerpt from your writing, showing a particular character, in the writing workshop.

We have character exercise threads under Writing Prompts. If you are looking for critique, though, only the Writing Workshop is permissible. ALL writing posted for feedback must be posted in the Writing Workshop. That's a firm rule because many people try every excuse they can to circumvent the requirements for quick feedback. In doing so, they waste everone's time and learn nothing useful.

Yeah, if you want people to read that you should copy/paste it into the writing workshop, once you have met all the requirements. Then you can ask for that kind of advice. That's where it belongs, not in some other sub section on this site and not really here.
