Ya' ever have one of these days?

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by Wreybies, Jun 2, 2008.

So, right now I am waiting for the police to come and have a look at my freshly broken-into car. I am ten kinds of furious!

    1) I feel as violated as all-get-out.
    2) I should be at work, earning money. I am not.
    3) I have to wait for the cops to come. Who knows when they will get here?
    4) When the cops get here I know that some paperwork will be filled out, but that nothing more is really going to happen. No one will be caught.
    5) The cop is going to insinuate, in some fashion, that I was asking for it.
    6) When friends and family become aware, I am going to be bombarded with advice which is already, by definition, a day late and a dollar short.
    7) They didn’t even manage to get my stereo out, but they did take the faceplate rendering my stereo worthless.
    8) I am going to be angry and out of focus for a week.
    9) The almost stolen, and now completely worthless, stereo was a Christmas present from my very caring boyfriend.
    10) I really, really, really, want to find the person who did this and go upside their head with a lead pipe. (I’m Puerto Rican, baby. I’m lit!)

So, that’s my day. How ‘bout yours? :(

Thanks Wolfie. :( I am like cornered-mother-wolf-with-a-den-full-of-pups angry/dangerous right now.

The truck is an ancient beast. It's a 1988 Pathfinder. Why would anyone even look at it?

Been there... I got robbed in broad daylight at a bus stop in the city - hundreds of people just standing around watching... One person even had the gall to ask me - with my nose bleeding mind you, because I was holding on to the shirt of the robber and screaming 'give me back my bag' and they punched me to get me off - "Was it really your bag...?"

Sorry your day was so bad... I truly hope it gets better.

    sorry this happened.
maybe you could get a new face for the stereo either at the junk yard or through the company.
It hurts when something is a gift from someone special gets broken. Sometimes it hurts more than the material things.
Had a car broken into once and the police showed up 2 days later.
this in a town of under 4000 people.
Don took pictures and we left them in the car since we couldn't stay at home since we were headed out of town.
I am just glad you were not close enough to be hurt.
Things can be replaced but you can't.

It's infuriating, and you feel helpless, violated. And when you are done dealing with the police, you feel worthless as well.

It's one of those things that makes you deeply disillusioned about the world and its notion of right and wrong.

Sorry, man. It sucks in 38 flavors.

My little sisters car was broken into two years ago. Becuae they could'nt get away with it they trashed it slashing the seats and smashing all the stereo in windsreen doors tired they really trashed it. What hurt her the most was the fact that the insurance only gave her a fraction of what she paid for it because the damage was that bad. She could'nt afford a new car with the insurance pay out and now she has to use a bus and has done for the last two years. She was really gutted. What made it worse was she was made redundant when the shop she worked for closed down. So now she's still paying for the car she no longer has and finds it even harder to save for a new one.

I understand your anger. Its an act of spite and thuggery. The idiots have no brain or form of intellect.

I'm sorry for you bud its not fair. Sometimes I really do hate folk.

People can be evil. This is why I am scared of them. All of them. I get told when i move away to go to uni that i'll get my house robbed. I've been looking at baseball bats and wondering whether that or a big dog would be better. Then again, I dont like big dogs either.

    Hope they catch them.

Wrey, like everyone else, I just want to say sorry.
I know sorry doesn't make you feel any better though. Wish it could.
I hope that they manage to get the person/s that did this to your car. If not, let karma come back to bite the little sods on the arse hard! Karma never lets people go unpunished!

Hugs to you Wrey and I hope your mood improves over the next few days.

Ahh, crap Wrey! Really sorry to hear about your car being broken into. I don't blame you for being furious, I would be too. Luckily, I've never had my car broken into, but with the way the world is today, it wouldn't surprise me if it was. Hopefully you'll see better days.
