Whew! For a second there, I thought you might be referring to yourself as one of those pesky people that police internet sites.
Wooo! Reached 1,002 words on my fantasy! Reached my personal goal to write 1,000 words, and it was taxing. I don't know how authors can do this every day with a full work schedule.
touch typing, sprints, and little sleep, trust me, that's the only way to do it ok, i work evenings, but it does cover all of when i am at my most creative.
Met up with a friend who I haven't seen in years. Got treated to a movie, dinner, and dessert as a birthday gift. Feeling really good today as yesterday another friend said they wanted to cool our friendship. I'm grateful for all the people in my life including people in this forum. =)
Went jogging this morning for the first time in a while. Did a 4.5 mile jog-walk. It was nice to clear my lungs in the open air, and I enjoyed challenging myself to push a little harder in the CO altitude. All in all, I'm proud of my accomplishments, and I look forward to going out again. Next up, some light yoga, then Bfast.
Despite how undeniably good I look in yoga pants (ha! ) I don't have any for my self or the rest of you to fill.
After all of my applications, I was finally able to get an interview with the local Wal-Mart (likely because I called persistently, asking about my application and open positions). I think it went pretty well. They usually do 3 interviews, 2 on the first day, and 1 another day, but the manager who would have done my second they'd just call me later for the third. I also had a really good interview at a Goodwill job fair last week. The interviewer liked my responses and resume, and she said that if the manager couldn't find a place for me, she would pass it through to a recruiter who could vary likely find something for me. Sure these aren't guarantees, nor are they the most out-of-this-world opportunities, but I'm so thankful to finally have responses! I am very optimistic and believe one of these darts will stick.
Yay! Wal-Mart just called and asked me to come in at 2:45 for my job offer. I love good news in the morning. You know, I'm so excited about some cool things happening right now. I'm thankful to be apart of them and hope they lead to more opportunity in the long-run. They will require more responsibility and will mark the start of my next chapter. I'd title it "New Beginnings" or "The Start of Something New" (a nod to you High School Musical fans out there). My plans have adjusted slightly today, but it's good.
First day of my new volunteer job and I frickin' love it! <does a happy dance> FRICKIN' LOVE IT, I SAY! I haven't the words to describe it, but basically I'm going to be working with a team to help clean up actual historical documents from the mid-19th century! Right up my alley as a history buff, woo!
