I'm ecstatic. The Winner's Curse, a novel I recently finished that left me wanting more has a sequel, The Winner's Crime and I now have a copy.

 

Yeah. Just keep smiling, keep working away as if nothing has changed ...and start looking! You'll land something soon, I'm sure.

 

It's a great feeling. And now what you write will be focused on that ending, and even more things will occur to you to help get you there. Have fun.

 

I've passed my driving exam! I'm extremely proud of myself, I never thought I'd actually do it. But it was my first attempt and I passed!
I'm getting a small car too next week, with help from my parents. Woohoo!

 

Do you guys ever say something really smart and look back and say "holy shit that sounded really smart."

 

Once upon a time, but I've grown accustomed to it.

 

The really smart thing you undoubtedly said is negated slightly by saying 'holy shit, I just said something really smart' to yourself immediately afterwards.

 

I do it all the time, but I'm usually just quoting smart people, like Mark Twain or Ralph Waldo Emerson or somebody like that.

 

Even with good friends miscommunication can happen. It makes me very happy when you can sit down with someone and sort it all out though.

 

I'v got a cold beer and am watching Monster Squad on Netflix.... woot woot

 

I bought me a new truck yesterday but didn't take enough cash so I don't get to pick it up until Tuesday. It's kind of old a 1999, but it looks brand new inside and out. It's a 1999 4WD XLT Expedition. I can't wait to get it home.

 

Borrowed some hand made jewelry from a friend and included it in a niece shoot today. Sunlight was annoying but it was so nice to catch up with her and my photography assistant friend. Most delicious croque madame for lunch also. Am going to go to sleep and PP the pics tomorrow

 

I'm done I'm done I'm done! Second draft finished! Now begins the editing, but that bit goes in the 'not happy' thread.

 

Just got 13 assignments done today. Eleven of them weren't even due until Friday.

 

Just found out a new indoor shooting range was opened nearby! I just hope there will be enough practicioners to keep it in business. *fingers crossed*

 

Finally found the perfect character for a theme I had been toying with for some time. Woo! Now he's ready for action!

 

Had a mini WF-meetup today! For those who remember Neha... that girl is awesome. Pictures still to come!

 

I am happy with the score I got on the GRE today, although I still think it's stupid that: (1) Around 2/3's of the Verbal section is just a test of your vocabulary; (2) They attempt to grade your writing; and (3) They don't give an aggregate score; and (4) The raw scores on each section are not normalized, so you have to look up the percentiles instead of being able to compare the raw scores of each section. The only good thing going for the GRE is that you get to view your scores right away, and this is admittedly an amazing perk compared to the 6 weeks of hell waiting for your LSAT score.
