    The not happy thread

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by Carmina, Jan 13, 2009.

I am not happy because someone at the church reported to the pastor (my boss) about my "customer service" for lack of a better term. What ticks me off...he isn't the one I talked to. He reported based on what he heard from his step-son and from his wife (two separate occasions). So, it wasn't even first hand information. And, it wasn't accurate. And, his wife and step-son should have complained if they didn't feel their issues were handled correctly. In both situations, they were asking for something I either didn't know or wasn't qualified to make a decision on. In the case of the wife, I didn't know and directed her to who did. In the second, I said it was a trustee issue and since they had already met for the month, I would talk to the president of the board directly to push his request through. Dumbbutt made it seem like I just blew off his family members and didn't do anything. Totally not accurate and I had to explain myself to the boss. I hate that.

*sigh* people seem to be particularly stupid today, eh?

I'm unhappy because my day has been too long and I hate revisions and being yelled at while I'm trying to focus.

I'm not happy because I have finals on Thursday/Friday. I know the stuff alright, but I'm a perfectionist and I have A's in both classes so I'm freaking out whether I know the material. The finals count for around 20% of our overall grade, so you can screw over a perfectly good grade just by messing up on a final. I'm also not happy because I've been studying and stressing like a maniac, which means I've been getting a lot less sleep than normal and feel constantly tired. :(

I am not happy because the two people I spend the workday chatting with in IM aren't online today. I just hope I have enough actual work to keep me entertained and awake.

I'm really not happy 'cos my ex has waited all of a week to try and get stuck into anything that walks and has boobs. Nothing like making you feel the last nine months were for **** all. :(

Be glad that he is an EX. Now he's someone else's burden.

I agree. Plus, now you have reason to mock him.
    (He obviously has no self-control.)

Cog - Is that wisdom...of age...or experience? LOL

I'm not mad about anything today. Life is good, people are nice and my pneumonia has lifted...it's a good day.

Carmina - in your line of work, shouldn't you just "turn the other cheek?" LOL (Just kidding.) My daughter is a missionary in a third world country, and despite her noble intentions, there are always naysayers in her supporting church who find fault with others...including her. I guess even religious people can be nasty.

I am not happy that my local city government has decided to propose a tax referendum asking for MORE money for the over-priced high school so their football team can have lights and a turf field. No way! I already have to pay property taxes for a school I don't use, and now I'm supposed to fund their field turf too?? Give me a break! Tell your football players to wash some cars and hold a bake sale like every other sports squad that wants new stuff. I'm so sick to death of tax referendums for every stupid little thing for that wretched school.

My ex knocked another girl up while we were dating. And then had the nerve to call me when he was upset about it.
