I'm glad she had a nice night, Matt. :) She certainly deserves it. What concert did she attend; anyone I would know of?

I'm happy because in addition to having a lovely few days with my bestie, I received my final article of school supply clothing in the mail today. Boy, they were speedy! I had to guess with the sizes --the site didnt provide a size chart, and I'm not exactly familiar with standard men's jacket/hoodie sizes. But it fits perfectly.
The front is basic black and reads: SAGE. The back is also basic black with this lettering on the back:
If you cant read it, it says "There is a war going on inside. Nobody's safe from Sage Francis (1968-2007)"
He's not dead, interestingly enough. :D

    Clothes.
    Femme alert! :p

Did a little shopping. I found the two frames I needed to get all mu pics for the Faire framed up for the contest. Also found two silver rings at the thrift store for $4 each. One is marquisite with pearl and cleaned up REALLY well. The other...not so nice...but it was a gamble. Now, I am trying to find my office. Frightening. :)

    1. I'm off birth control. :) Note: Joel and I are not trying to get pregnant, so that's probably a foolish decision on my part, but my birth control does not so fun things to me, and on top of that it costs $70 a month, so...glad to be rid of it.

    2. Joel gets off work at 1 and then we're going to look at wedding rings. :D

    3. After looking at wedding rings, I'm going to con him into going to Michael's to look at favor stuff for the reception. And then possibly to Goodwill or a thrift store to see if we can find more picture frames. And then...who knows.

    4. I'm in a surprise-planning mood, so I think I'm going to plan a cool surprise date for us to go on tonight.

    Happy day! *heel click*

My God I love listening to Gregorian music. It's slow at work right now and I'm drinking some earl grey and listening to medieval Gregorian with the volume cranked.

    Utter. Bliss.

I don't think I've ever heard the words "Gregorian" and "Cranked" in the same sentence before. And technically, I still haven't. ;)

    I'm happy 'cos... I'm happy. :D

What? IS THAT NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU? :p

*Thinks the Dalek cake had something to do with it*

Seriously though, I think I would be perfectly content to sit here and meditate while listening to this stuff all day. I find it very inspiring for writing as well. It makes each sentence I write feel important, lol.

See, we both said it at the same time. It's got to be true.

Now I want to look up some Gregorian music.

I just got back from an exhaustive bit of page design. Had a good time up until we all freaked about the deadline in a few hours. We made it, though. ;)

When I got home, there was a message waiting for me --I'm going to France!!!!!!!!!!!
I applied in early July to take part in an international in-depth coverage piece on the riots in the suburbs of Paris. It made headlines in 2005, had little blips in 2007, and is gearing up again. Well, I made the cut!

I'll be heading off in October.

    *happy dance*

I live in the middle of the United States, and while I've been from 'sea to shining sea,' I've never left the mainland. I'm so excited!

Not only do I get to travel, but I get to take part in a really high quality journalistic investigation. And, because everything I do lately is aimed toward university admissions, this is going to look awesome on my transcript. :D

    !!!!!!!!

Really happy for you! Sounds cool, it must be very exiting to go to Europe for the first time!

Indeed it will be! :) I'm also excited --I have some family in Germany; I figure if my cousin is not off traveling, then I will be able to see her again while abroad too! :D

Wodnerful news Merc. I guess I'll either have to buy a ticket or take a vacation from my current stalkings.

Ah, but you do realise this means you're coming much closer in my direction... be warned... ;)

Don't get me wrong, I liked my old profile picture, but I'm extremely proud of my new one so it goes up. :D

    Here's the original.

Congratz, that sounds awesome, and a great thing for your University applications. I am so jealous, France is right at the top of places I want to visit :p

I'm happy because my best friend and I have tickets for the Children of Bodom show in Toronto Sept. 26. The support act is The Black Dahlia Murder, one of his favourite bands, and we're planning to spend the whole weekend in the city.
