    Oliver

Oliver didn't resist, he let Aurora drag him around. He rested his chin on Aurora's shoulder, when she rendered them both invisible his already blurred and smudged sight faded even more. The sounds muffled, echoeing hollowly across what seemed to be an infinite room, the air was scentless, and it was neither hot nor warm. Disbelief took hold of his heart, freezing it then rekindlng it with fiery vigor, soon thoughts of revenge began to cloud his judgement. He'd seen the look in Uiron's and Orielle's eyes, he'd witnessed their violent nature first hand. But above all, he had told them his name, Douway. The house of Douway had had quarrels with The Faith before, whereas the religious believed the poor should come to god, house Douway had promoted itself as their saviour and patron. Perhaps this had been their intent all along, to wipe house Douway from the ring, to kill the protectors of the poor and enslave them with their zealous preaching and praying. He clenched his teeth, "I am going to kill them, all of them, even if I have to burn half the ring down to the ground," said Oliver. His cheeks seemed to smolder, reddening as he spoke, setting the soot ablaze. Then he turned quite again, his thoughts once again at the mercy of the god of confusion and disbelief, death.

Aurora couldn't help it when she nodded in agreement. "But who do we go to to get . . ." her words trailed off and she paled a it, but then bit her lower lip in determination. "Sorven. I can get him to help us." The memories of his abuse raged like a fire in the back of her mind, chilling her to the bone, but a thorny armor began to spear every fear and lock it away deep within. She was no longer afraid of the coward. She would not let him use her. Never again.

Turning, she made her way down an alleyway towards the Sorven household.

    Uiron Nedrayur

Uiron and Orielle had gradually made their way to the apex of the docking station. It seemed all the commotion had begun to die down. Upon their arrival the Isthi had seen many people, a few looked familiar, such as the Sanhedrin, the other Isthus, and the young Lord Douway.

Uiron watched as a few ships a flown off, it seemed one of them had another Sanhedrin, who was accompanied by a scarf around his neck. He seemed somewhat familiar to Uiron. Lord Nedrayur thought over it, who was this man, then he suddenly he had a recollection. Though, many of the houses do not often visit each others' planet, they partook in constant video chats. Even if this was somewhat rare for Lord Nedrayur, he did recognize the Sanhedrin dressed in red. He had seen him once, after constant thought on the topic, Uiron realized that he had been the 'protector' of the Lordess of House Douway.

After watching the ships depart at a rather quick speed, Uiron looked at Oliver. The young Lord seemed somewhat distant from the rest of existence, he was out of his element. Distracted, troubled? Uiron didn't have any knowledge on the subject of the boy's emotion, yet he noticed that whatever it was, it wasn't like the boy he had met. Orielle had watched in silence also as the ships departed, yet she noticed Oliver sooner than Uiron, and she attempted following him. Though, Uiron stopped her sudden movements.

Uiron put chains made of the Flow around Orielle's feet. She did not stumble, due to the fact that she has superb balance. Though, she looked back at her brother with a sense of astonishment. "My apologize, I could not reach you it time. I believe it is best to leave the boy be, he doesn't seem to be in the nest mood." Uiron said in a low voice of concern for the young Lord. Uiron couldn't really understand what his sister would do or talk to the boy about. She could lecture him, yell at him, or try to comfort him, though whichever the choice, Uiron went against it. He thought it would be best to just leave the boy alone. And as a bonus reason to leave him be was because the two should really get a head start on the path to the Temples, so they could at least make it halfway before they have to wait for their escorts for an even large period of time.

After Orielle made her reaction, Uiron planned on getting some directions towards the Temples from their current location.

    Ajax

"We are going to give chase," said Ajax. He ignored the commotion he was causing by plowing through the crowds. An imperium guard marched towards him, "Stop right the-" Ajax's fist slammed the man's words into oblivion. He didn't even wait for the unconscious body to drop but hopped right into the reaver interceptor plane. He kicked the engines into action, the roared like lions. Now he definitely had the crowd's attention. He looked at Riviera, waiting impatiently for her to hop in. "Go easy on the trigger," Ajax commanded. He pushed a button and the windowed nose of the plane began to slide down, cutting out the sounds of chaos outside. He trusted Riviera would be quick enough not to end up squished between the plane's lower body and the roof. It would look quite skittish if she didn't make it, and Ajax hated to be skittish.

Fay lay on her bed, acting like a good guest and stayed in the room given to her, waiting for someone to come. Her mind replayed every sight she had seen during her brief tour of the Jarn mansion. It's wealth was shown in it's decoration, gadgets and servants. Inventions of all sorts littered the place, but not messily. It was like a mechanic's heaven. For a brief moment Fay wondered if Earth would be like this when they finally got there.
The Earl's son, Mason, had mentioned they were working on a project. She wondered what sort of project it was and where they were working. The thought of building something other than maps and miniature bots filled her with excitement. It would be even more exciting if that project would help them get to Domu Paradises.

Carlsson had called him a fool, but Mason had shrugged the remarks of his genius elder brother off. This Fay girl had skills, the scans that had been ran on Charlie showed complex, intricate design, somewhat rough around the edges but functional. Yes, the stranger girl intrigued him, but it seemed only Nathan supported him in that vision.

He knocked on Fay's door, oh how he would love to tell her about The Orbiter, the pinnacle of Jarn engineering, the very sigil of mechanic efficiency, accuracy and destruction. He sighed, no one but the sons of Jarn, the Earl himself and a select few researchers were allowed to talk about the massive apparatus.

The door flew open within seconds of the knock and the excited face of Fay appeared. Charlie floated only inches from her head. Her sudden excitement however, rapidly turned into social awkwardness and shyness. "Yes?" She asked while looking at Mason's shoulder. Why is it I can only think clearly when I'm not looking other humans in the eye?

Mason entered her room, he leaned against the doorpost. "Impressive stuff that robot of yours, we can use someone like you, ever heard of the Reaver interceptor? We have several of those, they are older models but damn do they fly," said Mason, his pitch raised in excitement. "Da- The Earl wants our old ones repaired and combat ready before the end of the month, we have 72 of the things and there are only three operational mechanical teams, two of which are dedicated to another project. That leaves us with just fourteen people to restore these old beauties. So, what do you say? You'll get a room, a better room, a fair bit of pocket money and you will be learning from the best."

"What do you think, Charlie? A chance to work on Reaver interceptors?" Fay looked at her droid and seemed to listen to it before she returned her attention to Mason. "We'd love to. When do we start?"

    Mason Jarn

Mason eyed Fay. "Eager sort of person eh? We can definitely use that," said Mason. He gestured for her to follow him outside of her room. "Come let me show you, your new room." They walked through the deep-blue corridors. Everything seemed to be about functionality and optimization in house Jarn. Every corner of every wall had been thought through. There were rarely any blank pieces of wall. Most were adorned either with screens or with other forms of machinery. The vast subterran complex almost seemed to be alive, such was the machinal complexity. "Just out of curiousity, where did you learn to build bots? I have seen many bots and well to be honest.." Mason stopped, his lips curled toone side. He glanced around, making sure no one was around. "Yours is kinda awesome," whispered Mason.

'Well he certainly isn't the patient type,' thought Riviera as she dashed towards the closing cockpit of the plane. She made it just in time for the window to lock down, excitement rushing through her body from the rush of the run and the excitement of piloting a plane, possibly its weapons systems.

'So do I have to shoot down that fleeing cruiser without prejudice?' Riviera asked, though that seemed somehow moot since Ajax apparently had no reservations when he knocked that guard's block off.

A police cruiser lifted off from it's dock, followed by another. They were modified imperial gunships with most of the heavy weaponry exchanged for lighter arms and equipped with high power grav-jets, designed as interceptor craft.

"This is police gunship TA-7, engaging pursuit of a second unauthorized craft lifting off from the docks."

    "TA-9 backing em up!"

The two police cruisers crackled over the secure frequency. Then took off at full speed after Ajax's stolen Reaver. The Reavor was a fast ship, but the modified gunships were almost it's match in speed. It was still more maneuverable though.

"Attention unauthorized Reaver pilot, land immediately and submit to arrest!" They beamed to it on broadwave.

    --

Malief and Seven's ship was also under pursuit by a police cruiser. It was charging it's disabler beam, preparing to fire a shot that would know the ship out of the sky... That is unless it's circuitry was shielded.

"This is your final warning, unidentified transport! Land or we will shoot you down!"

    ------------

    Inirum Veral

A black skinned, white haired figure slowly walked out of the holding cell.

"Halt!" Inirum shouted. "Stay were you are!"

The figure turned to him, then raised his hand and suddenly Inirum and his soldiers were blasted back by the invisible hands of the Flow. Inirum's men were bashed into the wall behind, one skewered on a jagged piece of metal from the ship that had come crashing through. Inirum himself fared slightly better with his flow dampening armor, but was still thrown back. Getting to his feet, he lifted his sword and crouched low, ready to charge.

The assassin, Tezriac suddenly closed his hand, and Inirum was flung forward at him, blown from the back. Tumbling forward, he smacked his head on the ground and stars erupted in his vision. When they cleared, there was a bulkhead hanging over him, set to come crashing down.

He still had his sword, and activated the vibro-engine with a flick of a switch on the hilt, then swung upward as the bulkhead dropped. It fell in two pieces around him, and he was on his feet again.

The assassin looked surprised for a moment as Inirum leapt to his feet and swung at him, fast as lightning. But before his sword stroke fell, there was a pressure wave blasting him back and Tezriac had vanished. Inirum staggered back up, and saw him 50 meters further down the hall, before he vanished again in a blast of subspace particles.

He cursed as he realized that his prisoner had just escaped. He took off down the hall, but just as he excepted, when he rounded the corner, the assassin was gone, not so much as a white hair remained.

Turning back to his men, he let out a cry as he saw what had happened to them. All were battered and broken from the blast, but at least 5 were dead. One was nearly decapitated on torn metal edge, his neck impaled, another had his back broken. A third had been impaled by his comrades sword. The other two had been on the front line, the force had ripped them apart, it was terrible. Inirum was starting to understand how that boy had managed to kill the emperor.

"Quickly! Regroup! Leave the dead, to the hanger! Lockdown that ship!" Inirum ordered. There would be a time to mourn their losses; that time was not now. Now was time for action.

The Officer and the Other Man

"This is your final warning, unidentified transport! Land or we will shoot you down!"

The warning shots had done enough to buffet the ship and Malief and David tumbled down on the floor. Seven on the other hand had kept his balance before signalling to the driver to take them down. The police cruiser in disguise landed on the outskirts of dusty Surmarack and without warning Seven threw handcuffs on the other two.

What is the meaning of this!?” Malief stammered.

“Shut up and let me do the talking.” He growled back.

The other police cruiser landed down beside them with the heat from evening sun prickling off the metal. There was nothing but dust and sand from east to west save for the distant lights of Surmarack on the horizon, while the rest was a barren wasteland of orange glow and debris, where scrap scavengers would come to pick off metal from the old war.

Seven stepped out of the transport, his armour melding with the sun, and he threw down a finger by the door. “Stay.” Then he turned to face the officers as they slotted out of their vehicle and marched towards them.

“Interrupting official Imperium protocol is an arrestable offence, Captain.” He barked, noticing the rank on his soldier pads.

"Breaking blockades and no fly zones smacks of treason, I don't know who you are, but you had best lay down your weapons and lie face down in the dust. Elsewise I start shooting," the Captain barked, a pulse rifle leveled on the metal clad man.

“So you plan to shoot one of the Emperor’s Ghosts?” A low shredding laugh filtered through his voicebox and he just stared at the man. “Oh, I get the feeling you’ve heard of us Captain…”

"You'll need to come up with something more convincing than that," the captain responded with a sneer. "Why didn't you transmit an operative code?"

“I am off the grid.” Seven flicked out a card from out of nowhere and waved it at him. “This is the only confirmation I exist. Put it through your scanners and you will see.” He threw the card at the ground near the Captain and waited.

"What do you expect me to do with that?" The captain asked, and as he did, a gust of wind came along, blowing dust and taking the card with it, leaving the two men staring at each other.

When the Captain stared back, Seven was there. In his face. Charging through the glare of the evening sun. The officer’s eyes widened as the orange menace closed in and he tried to shout, he tried, but no words escaped. He slowly edged his eyes downward to see a large knife plunged deep into his throat, the blood glistening down his kelvar.

His partner could only react with a gasp as Seven pulled the blade out and pushed the Captain to the floor. He just stared at the murderer, and he stuttered and stammered while fiddling with his energy pistol holster.

Whoosh. The lieutenant looked up from his gun just in time to see the knife explode into his chest and he flew across the desert, crashing down in a cloud of dust.

Seven stalked over to the officer who lay there shaking, white and pasty, eyes staring mad this way and that. Dashing young man; brown hair, azure eyes. He couldn’t have been any older than 22.

“Please…” He begged while crimson leaked from his mouth. Seven held his boot to the man’s throat and levered the knife from his ribcage. Once the blade was out, Seven pushed down harder with his boot – and soon enough the lieutenant was gone.

He marched his way back to the transport tapping on his wrist console. They took off into the sunset towards Eldin, whilst the scene they had left erupted into a fiery blaze.

    Orielle Nedrayur

Orielle's eyes drifted to where the boy had stood moments before; a moment lost. Time now forgotten.

A sigh escaped her lips. She didn't understand Uiron's motive, why would he forcefully stop her from acting? Yes, he was her elder and yes, he was her Lord. But she was also her own person; she had a mind of her own and she'd like to use it.

Even so, she nodded in surrender. To speak with Oliver again may have only caused further strife that they didn't need. They hadn't been in Coranum for more than an hour or so, making potential enemies would not be wise. A shudder went up her spine at the thought. Could it be possible?

    A war.

She knew of the unspoken resentment towards the Houses and now with the Emperor dead, one could only predict the happenings. And even that she could not always do with her cloudy perception. She thought back to when she had brought up the facts with Uiron, who had grown irritated. Did he not worry about such things? Did he ever ponder what they might do if that were to happen?

What if they had to take up arms to fight for peace? What if they had to do what must be done to get the peace they desired more than anything? What if that peace could come only...with death?

Orielle quickly tossed away the dreadful thought. She couldn't let that happen, she couldn't go to war in Coranum of all places. She would not.

Placing a smile on her previous blank expression, Orielle bounced up to Uiron who had been getting directions. She didn't bother to notice anyone else.

"Escorted or not, shall we be on our way?" she asked. Finally?

    Uiron Nedrayur

Uiron had walked up to a multiple of guards, searching for directions towards the temple. Most seemed reluctant to help him, he had a general idea of why, though. It was probably a biased opinion based on his quarrel with the Captain earlier. Uiron had nothing against the Imperials or their underlings, though this docking station seemed to be one that was not Uiron friendly. He wasn't sure whether or not it was because he was himself, or if it was based on his race.

He had no clue of why they would have something against the Isthi People. Isthi have always been a peaceful group, or at least on most of the planets they inhabit. The only recognizable event that made the Isthi people on Soyenus look dangerous or aggressive, was the war. Though, it has been many years since that had occurred.

In the midst of searching, Uiron had finally stumbled across an individual who was willing to help. He had brown eyes, and hair as dark as the night. He was quite pale, but also shorter than Uiron. "How may I help you, My Lord?" asked the soldier. Uiron gave him a grin and said, "I have gratitude towards you, young gentleman. Would you happen to have the directions that could lead me to the Suvos Mactan Temples in Coranum?" The soldier looked at him. "Sure, just use this." said the soldier taking out a small metal cube. The soldier touched the cube and brought up a small map. On the digital map, he used his hand to create a line, directing from their current point to the Temples. "Take this, and it should guide the way, My Lord." said the soldier. Uiron was pleased that one of these people were kind enough to assist him.

"Escorted or not, shall we be on our way?"

Uiron turned to his sister and gave her a smile. "Whenever you are prepared to make our departure." he said to his grinning sister. He then turned back towards the soldier. "Once again, I appreciate your assistance." he informed the young human man.

Tezz dashed down the hall ways slightly worn from his exertion, a soldier jumped him and was promptly smashed against the ceiling reducing him to broken parts and blood. "I can't keep this up, were are those damn pods!" foot steps sounded behind him, before him shadows of soldiers meant he was trapped.

The gaurds rounded the corner and were puzzled to see nothing was there, flow surrounded Tezz masking his presence and as one of them drew close two brutal shots to the neck took him out, yet he was the fortunate one as Tezz spun ripping the gun from him and opened fire on the guards in front. They fell riddled with shots. Tezz put up a barrier to protect him from behind, but a shot made it through and sunk it's self in his thigh. The pain made him bite his lip as he whirled and took down the two guards behind him. Limping as fast as he could he reached the docking bay, the escape pods were at the far side 100 feet away.

"I have one warp left, if I can just cover fifty feet I'll be free." he thought, and on cue a large mech came to life lumbering between him his salvation. Tezz turned invisible and dashed forward, but the mech spent 5 crucial seconds scanning before spotting him and opening fire. throwing a flow burst behind him Tezz rocketed himself forward rounds cutting off parts of his hair. The mech lunged for him swinging an arm out, Tezz dropped to the floor and slid under, suddenly the mechs underside blew up in a flash, a well aimed grenade was logged in it's waist joints! Tezz had another ready curtacy of the dead guard, he hurled it at the window screen blinding the mech for a few crucial seconds 40 feet! Tezz dashed forward ignoring the bleeding, 45 feet. The mech took aim.

"I won't make it..." the thought flashed through his soul, The mech opened fire!

Tezz twirled and used part of his remaining flow to cast warp drive! but this time he focused his power on his last grenade. with shrapnel in his chest and a bullet in his side Tezz call on his last energies, he shimmered and and suddenly the mech blew up in a thousands pieces, Tezz had warped his grenade inside the mechs right arm blowing it through the wall. squishing it like a metal bug. Tezz dragged him self to the remaining pod and opened the door, behind him men were surging in, they came to see him grinning at them. with a trail of blood gore and death behind him, and freedom before Tezz said almost devilishly.

"Where's your god now?" the pod doors closed.

    Gaius going berserker

Gaius opened the front of his ship. The sleek sound of it was always pleasurable to the criminal's ears like a gust of wind. As he smiled enjoying the WOOSH! His grin started to fade slowly until he wasn't grinning but instead his face was locked into disgusting scowl.

Anger started boiling up inside him. It was the fact that alarms of the area were blaring and various mutilated bodies from his crash lay about him. Loud noises were annoying and the mushed bones he walked through brought back unwanted memories.

Gaius twitched as an intense pain worked its way into his skull. As if his head was being crushed between two boulders. He wasn't dressed out of the ordinary but he did carry a black automatic shotgun with him and duffle bag over his left shoulder.

Gaius blinked as he aimlessly continued stumbled over the destroyed area. He was doing his best to ignore the pain in his head and contemplating a way he could get to that prisoner......whatever the hell his name was. He blinked a few times as some living guards started to make their way towards him.

There was about five of them. But then Gaius blinked his blurred vision was making him see double. Which of course didn't help his head.

"Halt! On your knees!" the lead guardsman shouted at Gaius.

Gaius blinked a few more times. Gaius gritted his teeth as he looked at the lead guard. He wondered if the guard was married and for a second regretted what he was about to do. But only for a second. Gaius though of the sweet piece of action he'd be getting once this job was done with. "Hey guys do you know where I find this guy?" He slurred out as he put his gun over his shoulder.

The weapon wasn't in the best looking condition. Its barrel had rust and burn marks that decorate the holes. It would no doubt hinder Gaius's aiming somewhat. He didn't bother waiting as he walked towards them. A picture appeared in his hand of the man he was sent to extract. He boots made an awful sound as he neared the guards.

    CLISH!

    CLISH!

He was making it a point to step on their dead comrades.

"Drop him," the lead guard said, then dropping to one knee, he leveled his rifle on Gaius head and started to squeeze the trigger.

Gaius simply turned the shotgun on the man aiming at him and fired.........wait.........it was explosive ammo! Gaius's speed was uncanny with such large weapon he doubled tapped before the guard on one knee finished squeezing.

His head was gone, along with most of his upper body. The other four guards turned on Gaiuis and opened fire withing seconds. Most men would have been shocked, but not them, they were trained soldiers, and determined to avenge their fallen comrades. Their shield belts activate, projectiles wouldn't harm them.

Gaius flanked to the left and fired at the men. The explosions rocked the area as he held down the trigger. His bullets of course didn't do any damage and he'd virtually destroyed his gun as he repeatedly fired the explosives.

The barrel had literally melted completely but he didn't plan on sticking with the gun in the first.

Instead he watched his plan take effect. The dust, grime and smoldering ashes had been launched into the air by his violent actions blinding the guards. He continued to the left but cut towards them in a sprint. The mad man threw himself into the guard knocking all the men over like dominoes before they knew what happened. The shield stopped projectiles.......it never said anything about flying humans.

As the dust started to settled Gaius wasted no timed as he scrambled for one of the guard's fallen weapons. He booted the first downed in the temple and scooped up the rilfle.

The one he kicked lay prone, his skull fractured. The other three were on their feet after a moment, coughing but alive and going for their guns. One drew a vibro-sword and charged at Gaius, the other two fired a few rounds at him.

Gaius actually lowered his weapon as the man with the sword approached. He simply dodged to the right and gripped the man's sword hand with one hand. He yanked the man's arm out of his socket with nothing adrenaline and rage behind his power. Gaius;s blood shot eyes lit up as he pulled the sword's man in front of him as the other guards continued to fire.

This man was a beast, an animal, and despite everything the guards did, they couldn't seem to slow him down, and he wasn't even wearing a defense shield. The remaining guardsmen started backing away, firing as they went.

"Hey motherfuckers!" Gaius shouted. "You didn't answer my question!" As the guards took off running.

Gaius felt a rumbling under his feet and his began to trace the skies as he saw something taking off. It was a pod. He looked thoughtful for a moment. He was already upset about how rude the guards treated him. He needed something to take out his anger on. You know? Other then people. Gaius opened fire on it. Aiming for all the parts that looked loose or vulnerable.

    Oliver and Aurora

Oliver followed Aurora's lead, through countless streets they went, streets that struck a familiar chord with him yet his spirit rejected to recognize them. He'd no idea where they were heading, nor did he care. Sorven seemed like the very worst sort of person to go to, especially if he saw Oliver. "If we are going to Sorven, don't call me Lord," said Oliver. His voice was flat, still and cold like a motionless pond. The soot and ashed that covered him, the smudges of brown and black, the stench of burnt blood, he could easily pass for a pauper, and for once, that was a good thing.

Aurora glanced at him, then nodded. "To be honest, i didn't intend to. Everyone is equal -all this ranking and scraping at other's feet is really starting to annoy me; though i will show the proper respect to someone in authority." she said.

"Halt!" a guard shouted as they came near the gates. Aurora halted and looked up, brows drawing together as the man recognized her, then sneered.

"Good to see ye back, Aurora." the guard growled, approaching them, spear at the ready. "Lord Sorven won't be happy with you ye know -oh well, at least I ain't stupid enough to-"

Aurora muttered an odd word, and the man halted, eyes widening. Then he dropped the spear and clutched at his face. "What happened? My sight is gone!"

"I've blinded you. Now, unless you want to be permanently so, you will take this message to Sorven: That I will not be his pet anymore. That i will destroy anyone who crosses me. I want weapons, and a means to use them. I need someone to train us to fight."

Even in his numbed, mindless state Oliver glanced up in suprise at Aurora's bold move. His eyes slid over her face, expecting to spot a malevolent fire in her eyes. But she looked the same, only taller, brighter perhaps. She's bragging, she can't take a whole house on by herself, Oliver thought to himself. Sorven would walk out, reach for his sword and stick it right through her no doubt, at least she'd die a brave death. Oliver's mind had closed off all emotion, any normal day he would've feared for Aurora's life and his own, but now, death was like a good old friend, selling a one way ticket back home.

Aurora let the solider go, and he ran back into the house, shouting. Before long, several other had appeared, and Aurora gently pushed Oliver to make him back up a bit as they charged at her.

I guess i have to prove myself then. she thought dryly, then dropped into a crouch:

"Casurus-recedunt. Nihil plus novi. Vide nullus dies. Terra caelum caeli terra. Commovebitur terra sub manu ista." she chanted, and the air vibrated around them. Her body trembled as so much power escaped, but she stayed strong as the men halted, then screamed, falling over and crashing into one another. Some remained standing, only to lean perilously sideways until the could grip a wall, swaying as if the earth was tilting to one side. It as utter panic, for not only had their sight been taken, but now their balance. Only Aurora and Oliver remained unaffected by it.

"I warned you." she gritted out, patience running thin as hatred welled up for the men before her. They were so helpless now -helpless as she had been when pinned by their ugly hands, forced to do unspeakable things. No more.

It was a miracle she didn't kill them all where they stood. Their bodies would not be able to stand complete lack of the Flow, and she could obliterate it entirely in small areas.

Oliver stood by and watched. He cringed at the screams of the men, he couldn't stand the bone-piercing, heart-shredding sound. He covered his ears, squeezed his eyes shut. Why couldn't the world be silent? Why couldn't everyone just leave him be? It was too much. "Stop it," he hissed towards Aurora. He opened his eyes, the skin around his eyes tightened, his brows hung over them like ledges. He pushed in Aurora's side, then jumped away from her. "Leave me alone," he demanded, his lips began to quiver, "just leave me alone," he said. His voice began to waver. He sauntered off to the side and began to walk away, desperately searching for some peace of mind.

"Oliver!" Aurora called after him, and in that brief span of inattention her power snapped. The soldiers groaned, regaining their sense of balance. Sagging, Aurora tried to grasp the power again, only for it to slip between her fingers.

A dark chuckle from the doorway made her freeze.

"I see that your powers have yet to be fully mastered." Sorven sneered, glancing at his guards disdainfully. "Cattle for the slaughterhouse -I have plenty more where they came from."

"Bastard." Aurora spat, trying once again to grasp the Flow, but her fear kept her from fully controlling it, and a shockwave knocked her back into a wall. Choking, she clutched her throat and slid to the ground, struggling for breath. All the while, Sorven stalked towards her, sliding a long, curved blade from beneath his cloak.

"I won't let you get away again. This time I'll lock you away for good."

Tezz awoke to the sensation of violent tumbling, bouncing across the landscape he finally came to a rolling stop after 30 seconds of unpleasant rolling. He had arrived, where ever here was. Undoing his belt and opening his pod, he stared out at the blue sky and the warm sun, a cool breeze caressed the drops of blood on his face. He thought getting up for a moment, and then promptly fell asleep.

Oliver ran. He ran as fast as he could. Not from Sorven, Aurora or anyone else, but from everything. His thoughts chased after him as he sprinted through the streets. Eyes burned his back, curses lashed at his head, gasps pierced his ears. But he didn't care, as long as he wouldn't have to think about what all happened, as long as his thoughts would leave him alone.

There was a flurry of red before Oliver crash landed on his back. A lanciating pain shot through his spine, as if someone had replaced the bone with a rig of steel. It took a moment for Oliver to recover from the blow.

"-listening kid?" Oliver saw an Imperium guard look down on him. The man was tall, and all his hair grew in his face instead of atop his head. The man's curled mustache quivered as he began to speak again. Oliver couldn't hear much of it, but the man's violent grimace spoke volumes.

    "Sorry...what?"

The man grabbed Oliver by the collar and put him on his feet with one hand. His face betrayed disgust, as if he'd just picked up some slimy, stinking beast. He glanced at Oliver with contempt. "I said, watch were you are going." Oliver nodded firmly, and was about to run off when the man grabbed his arm and halted him. "What's the rush, boy?" The man's eyes narrowed, a ruby glint passed his eyes. Oliver could see the change in the man's face, contempt faded into malintent. The man looked at him as if he'd just made the greatest discovery on the ring. "Oh I see, running from someone are we?"

Oliver tried to twist himself loose, but the guard's grip only tightened. "Answer me," the guard demanded. "N- no," Oliver squirmed. "What? You don't want to answer m-"

"That's not what I meant, please I-" The guard put a hand over Oliver's mouth and pulled the boy closer. "Now you listen to me, I know you are the one who's been stealing from the market here-"

"-Nmmp, Iff hvvfnt s-" The guard squeezed Oliver's arm, his hand like a mechanical claw, ever tightening. "I know what you are, thief. I've seen you around, you've escaped me twice, but no more. Oh no. No more. We'll let the inspector deal with you." Oliver felt something in his side. The guard was keeping him in a tight lock, making it nearly impossible for him to look down. But Oliver didn't need to look to know that something had been put in his pocket. The man removed his hand from Oliver's mouth and grabbed his neck. His other hand wrapped itself firmly around his arm. No sound came out of Oliver's mouth, he was far too concerned why he was being framed by a guard. With horror it began to dawn on him how little of a chance he stood. He looked terrible, as if he'd just been dragged off the streets. His clothes were torn, blackened, scorched. His face was still flushed with a whirlwind of emotions. And with some stolen object in his pocket, he would most definitely be the perfect scapegoat.

    Uiron and Orielle: Distractions

With light footsteps they stepped out of the docking and were led into the heart of the city. Orielle felt a chill run up her spine, gazing at the familiar scenery. The playful light in her eyes vanished once more at the sight and a feeling of dread drifted to the surface. She certainly had been experiencing an odd balance of emotion lately...

Orielle pushed the thought away, looking instead to the road in front of her; toward their destination. Walking beside Uiron, she started to hum a sweet little tune, one that her adopted mother had sang many times before.

Uiron heard the tune. As it played in his ears, he got a flush of nostalgic experiences. They were bringing back memories of his mother. Now, his mother had never sang this song to him, yet he had over heard it being sung to Orielle when they were younger.

The image of flowers, rolling hills, and a slight breeze overcame his mind and his body almost froze at the comfort the flowed over his being. He was in complete silence as they made their way back to the earth of Surmarack. "Our destination is Coranum. We have walked many miles before, though this may be a long journey." he stated turning towards his sister.

Orielle nodded as she ended her tune. "At least we are walking now," she replied. "You know me, I'd prefer walking to standing around any day! And it will be a quick trip if you aren't a slowpoke." She cracked a teasing smile.

Uiron looked at her with a smile and stared at her face. He got an image of the younger, her. The tune brought back memories. "Oh, please watch your tongue. I could run circles around you." he gave her a snap while holding a smile. As Uiron looked down their pathway he saw up to five humans. Each one was lined up, facing the Isthi. They seemed as if they were trying to block the road.

Concern passed over Orielle's face at the sight of them. Humans...why must conflict always arise in their midst? Why must they always be difficult to deal with?

Tightening her grip on the weapon she held, Orielle continued walking, determined to get where they needed to be. They had no time for more distractions or petty games.

Uiron turned to his sister with worry in his eyes. He noticed the apparel of the humans. They looked as if they weren't as wealthy as some other humans of Surmarack. Their clothes were worn out and looked torn.

"Orielle, you looked distressed." Uiron stated to his sister.

"Not distressed, only cautious." she whispered. "Since dealing with that other human, I don't believe all can be trusted on this planet. But it's of no matter, we don't have time for talking." She quickened her step, ignoring their stares.

Uiron gave his sister a small smirk. He wasn't certain whether she was still holding in anxiety from the encounter with that Sanhedrin, but the humans seemed to have bad intentions. The Isthus Lord looked at the humans, their hands were behind their backs. As Uiron looked towards his sister once again the stare of the human group widened, all twelve eyes.

"I assume these people intend to disrupt our well being." he said expressing his opinion. As Uiron and Orielle were within ten feet of the humans one of them spoke. He was one out of the two in the middle of their make-shift line. He pointed towards them with one free hand and yelled, "Turn your asses around and get on your knees!" Saliva flew from his mouth, and his teeth began to grind as they collided with each other. The knuckles of his one fist were substantially large, which was only complimented by his large arms and pulsing veins.

Uiron turned to his sister as he noticed something. "Free transportation." he whispered to his sister, referring to the large black mini-ship behind the men, it had enough space for eight people. "Follow my lead..." Uiron insisted. "...and no Flow, we don't want to kill anyone." he continued with a dominant tone as he turned around and got on his knees.

Orielle nodded in understanding, but to not use The Flow? That was equivalent to not breathing! Fighting without it would be a challenge in of itself.

With a sigh, she turned on her heel in obedience and put off her pride, kneeling to the ground beside Uiron.

As two other out of the six men approached the two, they pointed guns towards their heads. Uiron had no idea of the type of weapon or of the damage ratio it held, yet he reacted almost instantly as the pressure of the tip made contact with is head. He slipped to the side, pulled the gun forward over his shoulder, colliding the man with his back.

The other man looked at Uiron's actions being distracted by them. This gave Orielle a perfect opening.

Taking the opportunity, she leap to her feet and raised her staff. The pointed tips gleamed in the sunlight as she went for the man and struck deep in his side. A loud curse sounded as he fell and blood poured from his wound, staining the ground. Anger spoke through his gaze as he stared at Orielle.

"Isthus like you don't deserve to fight men like us," he sneered as he took another gun off his belt and shot a few rounds from where he lay. With a gasp, Orielle dodged and a bullet grazed her cheek. Biting back the pain, she continued using her weapon as a shield. One by one the bullets soared, missing their mark until the gun ran dry.

With a smile, she walked back to the man, pinning his coat to the ground. "Now, what's that you said?"

Uiron stood quickly as more bullets soared through the air. He pulled his laser gun abruptly from his belt and shot them out of the air, as the other men prepared to shoot again. "There is no time to be triumphant!" Uiron scolded playfully as he knew his sister could handle herself.

He then ran up to one of the four men, he was more armed than the others as he pulled out two machine guns and aimed for the Isthus running towards him. As the bullets flew, Uiron knocked each one out of motion with his knife after he had placed his gun back on his belt. Another one of the four focused his aim on Uiron, while the other focused on Orielle, yet he dashed forward, dodging every bullet, and stabbed the heavily armed man with his knife.

Orielle rolled her eyes as she faced the human. While he shot, she dodged like Uiron, but with the grace of a dancer.

"Tell me, Sir; do you know what the real difference is between me and you?" Orielle jeered.

The man scowled with no reply.

"The answer is simple," Orielle said as she did a backflip in the air. "I'm better!" In one gesture she swung her staff and cut into the man's leg, knocking him off his feet. The gun landed on the ground with a thud and Orielle bent down to pick it up. "Are you certain there's no time for triumph?" she shouted to Uiron, waving the gun like a prize.

"You were the one in a rush." Uiron replied in a most simple way.

Her smile fell into a frown. "Well...that was before! But you know, this would all be way more fun using Flow."

Uiron looked at her with a grin as the others set their aims on the two. "If it pleases you, take out the last three with the flow, but no fatalities." he demanded.

Orielle's smile returned. "No death, yes Sir!"

Turning towards the remaining humans, she held her staff in front of her and put all else out of her mind. The sounds of bullets played in the distance, but as energy coursed through her veins, she threw out a force field. The iridescent Flow shielded her body, while intense pressure pushed upon her shoulders. The moment had to be right; it had to be perfect...

Orielle took a deep breath as the countdown began. 5...4...3...2...1...

A blast of Flow released. Spiraling like a crazed tornado, she picked up each human, nearly knocking the wind out of them. Seconds later the Flow gushed like a peaceful waterfall and tossed them onto the ground.

Moans drifted throughout the calm that followed. Orielle beamed with a clap of her hands. "A job well done!"

Uiron then looked at their gift with exasperation.

Uiron looked down at the many unconscious human bodies that laid upon the cold asphalt of the street. He felt the impulse to help them, but these people would just attempt to do his sister and he wrong once again. He began to step around the bodies as he kept his eyes on the little welcoming gift they had left them.

After making his way over to the special treat, a smile grew on his face. It appeared to almost reach from one of his black eyes to the other. And even with them being as cold and dark as the winter night sky, his happiness could be seen quite easily through his silver pupils. His reflection looked back at him as the pure black surface of the object seemed spotless. How could a group like such own something so high quality, and keep it in such good condition. Usually only that of wealthy humans could afford this, no matter where the siblings father had gone on Surmarack, it was also of high price.

Uiron placed his one hand on the surface of the pure black oval shaped vehicle. It laid on the ground, not in its normal levitation mode. He rubbed it, he had always had a fascination for technology, which might have been the reason he was not in contact with The Flow like that of his sister. Though, this vehicle was very expensive, and he had never touched one before. The light skin of his hand lightly grazed over the smooth exterior of the vehicle as he gave it an overzealous smile.

Watching Uiron's movements, Orielle let out an impatient sigh and leaned against the vehicle. She always found man-made machinery to be quite boring. "Are we going to look at the inside too?" she asked.

Uiron didn't even bother to turn a head towards his sister once she made her sarcastic regard. He pushed down heavily on the tip of the vehicle then removed it, watching the large black oval open. On the inside of the machine were up to eight seats, each one was black leather and had holographic seat belts. Seven seats were in the back of the machine in a curved row, with metallic floors at the bottom. Yet, the eight seat was in the front of the pod, slightly lower than the others, and was facing a metal table with a built in glass touch screen.

"Oooh, ahhh!" Orielle said with fake enthusiasm. To her, the vehicle's fancy gadgets were nice, but nothing to gawk at. "Can we go now?"

"Surely." Uiron responded somewhat annoyed by his sister. As he hoped in, she did also. Looking at the screen, Uiron began to use it. With the swipe of a hand, the top closed. He then used the mini map on the ship to set directions.

Orielle stared out the dark window, resting her chin in the palm of her hand. "We are finally headed to where we need to go. How wonderful." she muttered.

Uiron heard the displeasure of his sister and had an idea.

    Mason and Fay

Mason entered Fay's room, he leaned against the doorpost.

The vast subterranean complex almost seemed to be alive, such was the machinal complexity. "Just out of curiosity, where did you learn to build bots? I have seen many bots and well to be honest.." Mason stopped, his lips curled to one side. He glanced around, making sure no one was around. "Yours is kinda awesome," whispered Mason.

Fay was distracted by the amazing architecture but managed to answer, "Granpa-pa taught me how to make the shell and I read a book to figure out the rest. It wasn't that hard really." Charlie flew in front of her and she pet it on it's head like one would pet a dog. They finally stopped at a large door. It was intricately designed, much more than the other room she'd been in. "Is...is this it? My room?" She asked hesitantly.

Mason rolled his eyes, "no it's where we store all our trash." His fingers raced over a numeric pad in the wall, "7150," he said as he pressed the keys. The door slid open. The room behind it wasn't outlandishly large, but, for an engineer, still quite sizeable. "There is a bed, a bathroom, several closets, a desk to work out and you'll find all your tools in the steel cabinet at the wall." He let her wander around for a bit, then plopped down on the edge of her bed. "So, how do you like it?"

Fay didn't answer, or rather, she didn't really hear Mason's question as she was completely enthralled with the tools behind the steel cabinet. "The Cordian Wrench 500! A top of the class engineer glove!? The one I made isn't nearly as great as this. Energy converters..." Fay went on for several minutes gasping and smiling at all the wonderful tools. She named every single one, even ones that were rare. Thanks to her photographic memory she knew how to operate each and every one of them. Finally Fay spun around, a multi-tool pocket knife in her hand. "This place is incredible!" She beamed. For the first time looking directly in Mason's eyes. Her love for engineering outweighing her fear of people. "There's even a Mapmaker 300 in here! If this is just my room, then what does the workshop look like!? Can we go see the RI's (Reaver Interceptors) right now?"

Mason threw his arms up in surrender, "easy hoss," he said playfully. Seeing Fay rummage through some 2nd-grade tools and be excited about them brought a smile to his face. Granted, not all tools were 2nd-grade, but the mapmaker 300 was 3 versions overdue, and that was without counting the mapmaker mark II experimental version. "Just don't explode with excitement near one of them, they are mind-boggingly expensive," Mason said as he opened the door and began to lead her out. They soon arrived in the workshop. The ceiling was a good 30 feet high and appeared to be almost a mile deep. Seven tarnished, grey interceptors stood to the left. Stepladders and scaffolds were littered across them to reach deep down into the underlying mechanics. A good dozen or so people in blindgly white overalls were busy welding, soldering, hammering and otherwise fixing the bolt-and-metal fighters. "Don't be fooled by their not-so-modernistic looks, they pack a very heavy punch. See those mounting points, there will be two stocks of hellfire-T3F0's air-to-air missiles on each wing, and I haven't even begun about the rotary gun on the nose, it's fire rate is faster than anything you've ever seen."

"By the time I'm done tinkering with it, it'll be even faster." Fay replied matter-of-factly. The funny thing was, there was no pride in her voice. To Fay, it was just a matter of fact. With her unique mind she knew she could make it faster. She lay a hand on the closest RI and closed her eyes as if listening to it. Charlie flew around scanning every detail of the RI. "Rusty moderators, old core drive...could use a few tweaks," Fay muttered to herself as she looked through Charlie's scans in her mind, "broken landing gear, there's a mineral buildup in several of the cannons that could hinder firing accuracy..." A few minutes later she finally opened her eyes a smile on her face. "She needs alot of work, but she'll be beautiful by the time we're done." Fay looked at Mason. "When do we start?"
Mason was distracted by an engineer who had taken note of their arrival. The man was dressed in a labcoat and held a small clipboard in his hand. A pencil was tucked behind his ears, and his eyes sparkled with curiousity from behind thick, round glasses. "Master Mason, " he smiled, "how may I be of service?" Aside from a single, curious glance at Fay, he ignored the girl completely.

"I've brought you the best engineer on the ring. Peter, meet Fay. Fay, this is Peter, he runs the operations around here." Mason said. Peter frowned, Fay looked the fragile girl, with fine hands. It was clear he didn't take Mason's word for it, still, he remained polite.

"We can use everyone who knows how to hold a screwdriver," Peter said. "Oh, but she can do much more," Mason said. "She made her own droid." Peter's jaw dropped a few inches as he followed Charlie whizzing through the air. "Alternating stabilzers to keep him from tipping, very clever...Well, Fay, I am more than happy to have you here."

Mason gave an approving nod. "You only need to show her the blue-prints, then she can get to work. I'll leave her to you Peter."

"Very well," Peter replied. The man was unable to stop smiling once Mason had left. "I will show you the blue prints. But first, I must ask, where did you find those C300 capacitors that you use for your droid?" Peter kept on talking mechanics all the 500-feet walk to the computer mainframe which held all the designs.

Fay shyly answered his questions, though she kept her eyes to the ground. As she walked and the initial excitement passed, she began to miss her family. I hope I'm doing the right thing, Charlie. Leaving my family like that. I mean I'm protecting them from the god-emperor's cronies...right?
Charlie beeped and she took it as a yes. I'm going to prove to the Earl that I truly know the way to Earth. The mapmaker 300 will help, but it's going to take time to reconstruct the map in my head. Not to mention proving that I didn't make it all up. But I'll do it! I know I will and then we can leave this space station for good.
