    The Little Free Library

Discussion in 'Word games' started by Roy Henry, Jun 21, 2016.

A friend of mine is the caricature of an old carpenter with a soft heart, who has built a Little Free Library and installed in a public park across from his home; take a book, leave a book. He installed a photovoltaic panel on top and a Christmas light inside so it lights up in the dark.

This Little Free Library begs for a story; romance, sci-fi, mystery, conflict.

    Does it excite anyone’s imagination?

It does! I think your friend must be good-hearted soul, and the fact that this exists fills me with joy!

Even if no stories come of this, I'm glad you posted the pic. You've brightened my day enormously.

    Cheers m'dear!

    :)

This is a really neat idea. It`s great that there`s people out there who do this. I`m sure at least someone in that park will find it as lovely as we do.

oh i see those all over the place round where I live. A lot of them are by homes but there's even some at the school my dad goes to. I think they're a neat little idea tbh and I'm glad to see more of them

In Switzerland they are real common, pretty much everywhere - I love them and I found some real gems in these little boxes. One of the saving graces of this country ;)

I pass one of these everyday on the way into work. There is a house in the neighborhood. It also has a bench next to it, in case someone wanted to sit and read there.

There's one in the laundry room in my building and there's one one block away... I had previously considered locating the closest 5 and dropping my own novel in there when it's done haha. Local literature.
