    @Guitar rolling in@
The world is blue like the ocean in the sky
Heavan vast net won't let me through
I have taken control of the system
    My world is big net

    Your deep deep
Red liquid spilling on the floor
    Gives me happiness
Your blue blue eyes sink into
The clouds it gives me happiness
    ^Chorus end^

    Today is tomorrow
    Yesterday was today
    The world is spinning
I now have hope that I will live
You cheat me off and I cheat you off
    I have hope
    I have happiness
    I'm skippin down the road

    ^Chorus reapeat^
    ^Chorus end^
#Guitar starts rolling around going form high to low#
    Today

I wrote this for the 2004 Tsunami tragedy in Southern Asia, and it started out as a science project. It is posted on Youtube.com as 'Tsunami Song' and my username is 'SasukeSaucepan'

When all you can see are tides
When all you can hear are good-byes
When all you can smell is salt
    When all your happiness halts

    Chorus: The baby's cryin'
    The mother's dyin'
The father's screaming's all one voice
    Listen closely
    Hear their sorrow
    Will there be a tomorrow?

When you're in too much shock to feel
When you watch all those people keel
    When families start anew
Who will be there for you?

    (chorus)

    When you wanna die
When you scream your heart out
    When you wanna cry
    Life's all about...

    (chorus)

    All one voice... x4

    Move it

    Trampling across the terrain
    Of injustice and ruthlessness
There is just too much disdain
    Holding your arms in dégagé
    Can you confront the pain?

    -Chorus-
Hope is not, waiting for things to happen
Hope is making those things happen
    To polish your heart
    Fulfilling the unknown
    Never to refrain
    From taking the strain

Push your energy to highest level
    Don't you deface your spirits
You're going to fight the sand and gravel
And recover the once forgotten diamonds
The red sky clapping at your marvel

    -Chorus-
Hope is not, waiting for things to happen
Hope is making those things happen
    To polish your heart
    Fulfilling the unknown
    Never to refrain
    From taking the strain

Is retribution going to save you?
If you won't move yourself to recover
Don't you sit down with your face blue
    How could one find joy
If he cannot embrace sweat like dew

    -Chorus-
Hope is not, waiting for things to happen
Hope is making those things happen
    To polish your heart
    Fulfilling the unknown
    Never to refrain
    From taking the strain

Hope is not, waiting for things to happen
Hope is making those things happen
    To polish your heart
    Fulfilling the unknown
    Never to refrain
    From taking the strain

Eh, I figured I'd give it a shot. Don't normally write poetry, or lyrics, for that matter. Hoping (heheh) that hopelessness is a valid theme based on hope. ;)

    ------------------

    A Thousand Little Hopes

A dour sky of faded red
Greets me as I rise from bed
Regrets burn my mind like a thousand little stars
The love left for her is pitted and scarred.

Retribution, oh, but what a word.
Sorry means nothing, or so I've heard.
Hope lost forever on mending the past,
a thousand little pleasures to forget it fast.

    Maybe I will love again.
Maybe I will find a friend.
A maybe never cuts it, though.
Chance to find it? At most, low.
"Forgive and forget," they always say.
"You'll make your dreams come true some day."
I ask those people how it feels
To live a life that's so surreal

Retribution, oh, but what a word.
Sorry means nothing, or so I've heard.
Hope lost forever on mending the past,
a thousand little pleasures to forget it fast.

    Tossed overboard by love's laments
    Resign myself; the sea consents.
    Deep below the cresting waves
I hardly see that which I crave
    When everything is tinted blue
That which is seen may not be true.

Retribution, oh, but what a word.
Sorry means nothing, or so I've heard.
A thousand little reasons to forget the past
Unheeded in hopes of redemption at last.

    They stood
    -----------

    What stupidity
    What courage
The young men of a generation
    That left our shores
To sail a thousand miles away
    To fight an unknown foe

    They stood side by side
    Only hope making them strong
As Death stood in their shadows
As Death stood in their shadows

    A landing was made near
    A sea of blue
The children of our proud nation
Drew a red line on that day
In a book made of tears

    They stood side by side
    Their courage blazing raw
    As Death held their hearts
    As Death held their hearts

    Spoken:
They shall not grow old as we who are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
    We will remember them

    Will there ever be
    Any retribution?
Will the old men of the generation
    Pay for the blood
That spilt in lands far away?
A curse of pride brought low

    They lie side by side
    In earth far from home
    For Death holds them now
    And Death holds them now

    To Judas

    I became the son.
    And I came down praised.
    And hope crawled
    out
    like
    sunrays.

    And knights drew my cross.
    And a ghost talked.
    And golden calf's were smashed.
    And golden gods were cast.

    [Melody]
A red sky, in the chill of winter
shone forever when the sun never
    set,
    no blue horizon,
and beyond there was faith in me,
    yet.
And my men at arms had
    the flesh that breathes.
    [Melody]

    And torn we went until
    the breaking dawn we knew.
    Forever sweat will drip.
My brow wet with wine and blood.

    [Solo]

And the cross is not in me but in the sky.
    There will be no retribution!

    [Melody]
A red sky in the chill of winter
shone forever when the sun never
    set,
    no blue horizon,
and beyond there was faith in me,
    yet.
And my men at arms had
    the flesh that breathes.
    [Melody]

    I taught you!
    The Teacher!
    Messianic Rabbinic-
much better when you go down.
    To what excuse?
To another who would take the cross?

    We can.
    Nights out.
    I asked you,
    kill me!
    And now I ask you,
    "What's your pitch?"

    I came to you
    in tar and feathers
and bundled like in leaves and
    you came together
    with crosshairs.

    Nights out.
    Coming?
    Downtown?
    Not yet?
    "What's your pitch?"

    Take time,
    dead sir.
What you do will satisfy the bitch.

Not that I'm reminding you of your dissatisfaction with it
Not that you won't drink wine around the tables to it
Not that you want call me, “Sirrah,” still.

    I'd take that
    in an instant
    if I could just,
    sell it.
    Not like this.

    The idiots decree

    Verse one

The ambition of you and I,
    what for?
I see you and I’m drowning,
    your face becomes my door.
    And through it the sky,
    Bloodshot,
    Bitter, Benin.
    You’re my overdose,
    a drug so refined.

    Chorus

I hope this isn’t the all in all.
    I wanted for something,
    just a little more.
    Your retribution
    is culling lie.
    Through the red I see.
    Yes,
    through the wreak I bleed.
    For my hopes.
    The idiot’s decree.

    Verse two

    Your voice melodic,
    a child’ smothering chant.
    Looking for his mother.
    Tantrums and bickering rants.
    I won’t listen,
    I keep looking.

    Something’s there none the less.

    Chorus

I hope this isn’t the all in all.
    I wanted for something,
    just a little more.
    Your retribution
    is culling lie.
    Through the red I see.
    Yes,
    through the wreak I bleed.
    For my hopes.
    The idiot’s decree.

    Verse three

All the innocence is striped away,
you’ll turn blue and fade away.
Down to the place the dark things go.
    Down to rest all alone,
with the idiot weeping at your grave.
still so hopeful for the day.
It will never come to pass!
    Let the ignorance forever last.
