Well, I had planned to spend it with the BF at home, but a small technical glitch has made that impossible.

I am now, again, at the country house, working, because where I live in Caguas has no phone service. Why? Because junkies in Puerto Rico regularly cut out sections of the heavy copper cabling in order to sell it for drugs. I was told it would be about a week until they tracked down exactly where the section was removed from the overall system.

Humans. How did we ever get to where we are? It's a cosmic freakin' joke.

Well, I guess I'll be doing what I do every other day. I'm so boring :p

Wrey. The meth junkies around here will go around pulling the wiring out of peoples front porches and new buildings being constructed. For awhile, they were pulling the wire out of the engines of cars in parking lots around Springfield, MO. WTF!

Dude, that is so messed up.

My New Years wish is no more meth heads where Garm lives and no more heroin junkies where I live!

Hahaha, the meth capital of the world is a half hour drive from my house.

Makes you wish Darwinism would work a bit faster.

For my part, I'll be staying off the roads tomorrow evening. Even if I am completely sober (although I WILL be popping the Champagne cork at midnight), there are too many drunks and druggies on the road on New Years Eve. It's not safe for experienced, sober drivers to be out.

For sure. My buddy found a cut down shotgun in the road just down the way from me a few months ago. Stub barrel, duct taped with no grip. Dangerous looking thing. The main problem with these junkies around here is how paranoid they get.

I had a guy that was working for me say that the way to make quick money was to rip off those guys because they wouldn't call the cops... Ok. I told him good luck with that. Not only would they call the cops--most likely, ever watched COPS--but they would in all probability murder you.

    Moron.

Wrey, sorry you don't get to spend it with your BF.

I'm being a boring and safe person again this year and staying at my parents to house sit while they go to a New Years party at my cousins. I'm going to spent the whole time chatting with my Macabre Knight and loving every second of it! Also, it means that there will only be 40 days left till he comes home! YAYNESS!

Hope you all have a safe and enjoyable night! :)

    Yay for forty days!

For new year's eve, I'm going to a party at my bestie's house. :D And for the new year as a whole, I hope to spend it trying to convince my mother to let me move to Bama like was planned.

Haha, makes me think of when we were waiting for Daddy to come home from Iraq. We started counting down when he had six months left. We had one of those chains with the rings that you rip off for every day that goes by. Twas neat.

Our little angles are drawing pictures every day for him. It's quite sweet. We started that Boxing Day.

I don't know. Do you think they'll ever come around and learn to accept him? ;)

Boxing day is the day after Christmas. Just another excuse to get more drunk I spose. I don't really know what it is all about other than the day you recover from Christmas festivities! lol

Boxing Day is a tradition out of the British Isles. Traditiona;;y it is a day to appreciate the servants, give them gifts, and reverse roles for the day

Hope everyone has a safe and happy new year. I'll be celebrating the occasion in the usual way - that is, I'll be pretty much doing what I do every night, except at midnight - wherupon the annual lighting of the *cough*modified*cough* sparklers will take place.

New Years Eve...hope you all have a wonderful start to 2009. Be safe.

My wife and I are boring on New Years eve...we'll spend some time "entertaining" my son's cats while he is frolicking in Costa Rico, then we'll go home and make a pizza.

New year's greetings to all writers and aspirants! May it bring your projects closer to fruition. I'll be babysitting with my girlfriend tonight, opening the front and back doors to let out the old and bring in the new!

I still have about 13-2/3 hours left before I give 2008 the boot in the butt. But I'll be enjoying homemade pizza (better than most of the pizzarias serve, in my humble opinion) and a couple beers, and finishing with some Champagne at midnight.

For the new year, I'm thinking of starting a new diary dedicated to 2009, as I shall be travelling to persue my higher studies. It'll be some kind of a documentary of how it all goes.

Also, I intend to read more books. I hope to get some of the books I've always wanted to read where I'm going.

    2009...is going to be a challenge! :)

Good luck to all writers around here.

    Keep it up ;)
