yeah, dude, i was sooo pissed. Corel's alot more intuitive than photoshop though, from a painting standpoint, so it didn't take that long to re-do. though i was scared to get too complex with the layering, like i did in the first painting, because it might freak out and the file might get corrupted again. Hence the crappily colored beanie and goggles. I figured just focus on the face and the hands and that would be good enough until i could figure out what caused the program to flip out.
LOL it's impressive that you managed the picture again and quickly too. LOL I hand draw depending on what I'm doing sometimes it takes days. That can only mean one thing you know your anatomy!
Yeah, i for the most part remembered what i'd done and where so it was no problem to do it again. The first time i'd used a different color scheme that i liked more, but couldn't seem to reproduce. I'm not 100 percent on how to use the program yet, and couldn't figure out how to tweak the color levels and junk the way i wanted. LOL I hand draw depending on what I'm doing sometimes it takes days. That can only mean one thing you know your anatomy! **claps** Traditional artists are amazing, the only thing i can do in traditional is sketch, anything past that and i'm worthless, i need my "undo" button . hmm, I guess i do know like, basic anatomy. I never really thought about it before.
Flux, that turned out great! No explanation needed. Very nice. Gloom, I always look forward to your artwork, too.
'Ello, hope this doesn't sound rude or anything. As a comic book artist I understand the mechanics of drawing. This is a wonderful drawing, but I have a few problems. First off the color of the skin is like this steel gray color and that just doesn't look normal even for a cold person, the hands seem off in proportion and the fingers are weird, her shoulders don't seem proportioned right either one seems higher then the other, and I think for goggles concern smaller may be a better decision then those giant ones. Though this is just me being picky. Keep up the good work, you have a fabulous eye for drawing and I think with practice it can be even better. Hope I haven't offended you or you feel offended because suddenly I gave a review of your work. And if I haven't offended you I hope this has helped a bit. Here and Now ~Rem Nightfall
No offense Rem but can you not ever look at my art LOL...his anatomy is great in comparison to some of us and I think Flux has real flair do you have a Deviant art account?
hey thanks for the critique man!! yeah i'm not really a pro artist, just one of my many hobbies, but thanks again for the crit. you're a comic book artist, no way! that must rock, cept all the deadlines and stuff. What's it like? are you a penciler? inker? colorist? i have a whole bunch of questions, i'll pm you later.
Actually I like the color of the skin, I think he looks like a pale cold person. LOL. . I'd draw one of my chars but it'd be a stick figure. I draw worse than children I know.
Yes, I'm a comic book artist. Right now I am published through a really small, just starting out publishing company. The company is owned by my friends and I work there as an editor and a publisher, but as well as their very own comic artist whom has been published for them. I am not in the super mainstream yet, but one day. I am just published locally to small comic stores and small bookstores. I do the whole thing pencil, ink, color. I should explain, I am a comic book creator and comic book artist. I write my own stories, I draw my own pictures, blah blah. This really isn't the thread for this. @Gloom: Its all right, I understand. I'm not a pushover. @Chad: For me I would go for a more lighter color, so more light and not as dark. I would make the cheeks red, give the fingers a quivering quality. Though this is just my personal taste when it comes to cold people.
I think you misunderstood what I was getting at, for an amature artist to me this is wonderful, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings or anything was trying to be nice. So I take it there isn't a deviantart page for us to drool over then?
It does not! i befriended you on there, by the way, but i don't have anything up except for eve right now. I'll try to post more crap.
I never said anything about hurting my feelings, I'm saying I understand how it is to be amateur artist, I understand how it is to be a beginning artist as well. So I understand I am not a pushover when it comes to it has to look like this. Because it doesn't what is good to you is good enough for now, soon I'm sure, you'll become better and what is good to you now may not be good to you later. And your gallery doesn't suck. Its a wonderful gallery. At the moment I have don't have a scanner, and most of my work is ink pen, paper, old fashion stuff. I do some other kind of graphics as well though.
