The worst movie you've ever seen?

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by Good_writer, Dec 10, 2007.

Which movie bored you to death so that you had to stop watching it?

That would have to be Sleepless in Seattle for me. Not a big fan of romance.

Cabin Fever didn't bore me, it was just the worst thing ever.

    TMNT was also terrible.

    Land of the Dead.
Poorly thought out, anvilicious, cardboard characters (and I'm being generous calling them even that), it made me bored and insulted just watching it.

    The Patriot
I stopped watching within fifteen minutes. Usually I can watch films set in the past by turning off my brain, and remembering that its Hollywood History. But the Patriot was simply too historically insulting for my braincells.

For me, it was Evil Dead, which i watched a few days back. I know it was a superhit when it was released, but now, instead of horror, it might be called comical.

    Eragon

No words can describe how hilariously bad that movie is.

I genuinely thought that film was a practical joke...

I think the title "Eragon" does a fairly good job...

Hmmm... I think there was a vamperella at one stage and we stopped it fifteen minutes into it. Fast forwarded. Played then stopped it all together.

There are others. But they are too boring to remember!

I quite liked V for Ventetta too, though, it will not appeal to everyone.

The worst movie I've ever seen is Battlefeild Earth.
Next for this doupius title is Uwe Boll's 'House of the Dead'.

I sat though them both for no good reason :(
Why do I do these things to myself?

 I keep having to disagree with your movie choices this is great! But I'm a minority that actually liked this one.

Uwe Boll is the biggest moron. How does he keep getting work?

Another V for Vendetta non-fan as well.

    I could list so many:

Chicken Park takes the cake by a long way.
    The Foreigner
The Wicker Man (2006) - but a good comedy; Nicolas Cage manages to punch almost every woman on the island; 'step away from the bike' oh god I'm in tears laughing now)
In terms of unnecessary violence and animal cruelty to the extreme (apart from the fur trade people): Cannibal Holocaust

Perhaps the biggest letdown of all-time: The Exorcist. It's really not the scariest movie of all-time.

Walking Tall the original never saw the remake but I don't think it could have been worse but probably just as bad.

House of Wax. The best bit was Paris Hilton dying.

One of the worst movies I have seen has to be Wolf Creek. It was just disgusting I went to bed before the end. I don't know what it was about it, normally gore and stuff doesn't bother me but this was something else.

What, just because removing all instances of the "F" word would have turned it into a silent movie? Or was it all the senseless splatter to to paint over the total absence of a plot?

Still, I'm not sure it makes the "worst movie ever" badge of shame. Solaris was worse, but there are many others so bad I've blocked their titles out of my memory.

Blasphemy! Not only was it an awesome homage to vintage horror flicks, but it also showed that the real antagonist was the human tendency to not help our fellow man (unless it's convenient, of course). One of my favorite movies.

Well, Evil Dead was supposed to be kind of tongue-in-cheek when it came out. It's a good blend of comedy and classic horror. And Bruce Campbell is possibly the most awesome person to ever live. He should be in every movie.
