And he's entitled to it, of course, but it was just funny to watch this and then think back to him in Top Gun. lol. It just seemed like he was supporting such a radical view on things.

Its true his done some really good films and now he's spiralling himself out of hollywood on the respected actor list.

And I liked the Mission Impossible Films.

    Rain Man another classic

    Days Of Thunder
    Minority Report
    Collateral Damage.

I think the Scientology 'religion' is interesting. Of course, aspects of it are extremely weird, but there are others that seek the good from the world. If Tom Cruise is going to massively promote Scientology, I'd be interested to see how everybody reacts.

If he's going to promote Scientology? He already is mate! It's massivly scary. But it's interesting that all this started from a book. At least that's what I gathered. Amazingreally- the power of words.

lol. L Ron Hubbard....a science fiction / fantasy writer. Of course he wrote other stuff as well, but that's what makes it so funny.

In all this crazy Tom Cruise hating business of the last couple of years, I have prevented myself from thinking he's totally batsh!t. This video. He's fragging batsh!t. But I bet some Opus Dei video by Clarence Thomas would be just as frightening.

And after that I thetaned in my pants a little.

He's not necessarily 'insane', just very intense.

I got a book all about Scientology, so I look forward to reading it and finally understanding what all the fuss is about.

All I've heard is 'cult', 'aliens latch onto us but can't be seen', 'make the best out of the world', 'everything revolves around Scientology'.

I wonder if they mention the e-meter in the book. It's an electronic gimmick they use (or used to use) to determine if the person is "clear", by measuring the electrical field surrounding them.

    More pseudo-science...

    I just read about that!

They use it in the process of auditing to determine the issues troubling one's spiritual 'advancement'.

I wonder if all my theories could one day culminate into a new religion. I have quite a few plausible ideas and there are many who agree with me (people I don't know). I'll put that on my To-Do List.

I'm sure with the catholic church you used to have to pay for your loved ones to go to heaven, by buying an 'indulgence'. I'm sure there were a few other things like that. So maybe all religions in their early days need to accumulate a lot of capital to gain power...just a random thought :p

The only thing I've ever really seen of Scientology was when they did a Panorama on it on the BBC. The people they had on that were quite scary. I'm not sure why people believe in it.

Don't they believe that humans came from space? Sort like in Battlestar Galactica?

It all seems too strange for me!
