Fair enough, Raven. I have been around long enough to trust your comments as I have never witnessed any wrong doing by you. If someone is abusive, they forfeit access. It's the only way to keep this site from sliding down the nasty slope like so many others.
It was a situation in which everyone was overreacting. Realistically, this just shows that if you're unhappy with the comments someone makes on something you've written, you either ask questions, or ignore it. This situation started because Bard took a comment I made the wrong way and couldn't leave it alone.
i too, have complete confidence in raven's, cog's and the banz' fairness in such decision-making... i'm sure the time-out was called for and if it's over what i reported myself, for one, then it's for sure deserved, imo, if you hadn't apologized for your boorish behavior, bard... it takes more effort to be rude and/or a bully, than it does to be polite and respectful to fellow members, so why some will go to all that work and trouble is beyond me...
Just to throw in my "hat" (puns rule ). This site has some of the best moderation I've ever seen on the net. Cogito Banzai and Raven are here daily (as opposed to some sites where I've seen the mods absent for weeks if not MONTHS). Better than that I've never seen them abuse their positions or act unfairly towards anyone. EDIT: and on top of that they're ultra helpful when you have a problem. WF.org is fortunate to have such an attentive mod team.
I, for one, am sorry to see you go. We too had a rocky start, but I respect you and feel you are a valuable member of the site. Perhaps you can return after a cooling off period. Going after Raven wasn't your best move. But he is a good and reasonable man who understands temper flare-ups. I hope it will be possible for you to return.
A temper tantrum is no excuse for lashing out at me. What I said was relatively minor. Anything genuinely bad I said was kept to the Angry thread, where the kinds of things he said elsewhere belong, and I didn't name names.
Rei don't go on about this your point has been made and I suggest you stop. I'm surprised you haven't received an infraction yourself for your first comment to Bard.
May I suggest that this just stop now? Bard has received an infraction. Why keep perpetuating this argument? I for one vote that we let bygones, be bygones and move on. What's done is done.

Oh God, let it end already. This has been discussed, and has been decided. We've reached the point where we're just retreading the same ground. On that basis, I'm closing this thread.
Just to add one final word. The Bard Of Wigan has only been issued with a three week cooling off period Ban. I recieved insults that were uncalled for. However. I have spoken with others regarding the situation and Do understand flare ups. But the three week ban still stands. I don't have to tolerate that kind of abuse from anyone. The silly thing was I wasn't going to act on that situation once I'd seen Banzai had already dealt. All the evidence of the insults are in the visitor logs. Anyway Bard will be welcome back but it will be in three weeks when the Ban expires. I feel I have been fair. If any of you came to me with a problem those that know me know I would look into it. I can't say fairer than that.
