    Twhat?!

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by goeswithgod, Aug 6, 2010.

Can somebody please explain to me what Twitter is, how it works, why I should bother and how it could potentially destroy my concentration even futher?

You shouldn't bother with it. It's the crack cocaine of Internet addiction, for people who begin to twitch and froth at the mouth if they don't hane an online device within reach for more than ten minutes.

Basically, it's a way to tell millions of equally self-involved (and therefore uninterested) people exactly what boring activity you are undertaking right now, in a vain attempt to convince others (and yourself) that you have a life.

Twitter is more about writing every thought that comes into your head, rather than engaging in an open interaction. Twitter is very .. eh.. one on one. Personally, I don't really want to divulge my thoughts to the users of twitter. In fact, I don't really want to divulge my thoughts to people in real life. Especially not as often as twitter seems to allow.

Twitter is iTourettes. A serious of random, compulsive outbursts that polite company will quietly ignore.

This thread is pointless and is being used as a springboard.
