    It depends on what it is:

    First draft is paper and pen and then AlphaSmart.

    Edits on computer.

    And, are you talking about a manual typewriter or electric?

    One of my friends had an aunt who was a secretary in the Navy back in the 40's and 50's who typed on the old manual typewriters on which you have to POUND the keys.

    When she started on a computer, she went through computer keyboards about one every month.
