Ubiquitous Loquaicity, Ostensibly Unfavourable

    In that case, should I post a chapter and a half of a (failure of a) novel that I wrote? Being in first-person, one of the characters writes in an absurdly flowery style, while the other's is cynical and minimalist. I think that might go some way towards making some assessments of my writing a tad more accurate.
     
  2. I think wreybies said it best on the very first page. It was quite funny, too, IMO...

    And Kas speaks honestly for most regular readers, I think...
    You can always tell when someone's picked up a thesaurus for a fancy word that really, well, just sucks.

    And like Aaron stated, you want the novel to be liked by as many people as possible, well, I assume you do, and fancy-spanky words are not the most accepted. Keep is simple.

    Yeah If you want to. I'm sure it would get a few looks. I think it would be better to post it in the 'novel' section
