If you have an hour to stare at the sky tonight ...

... and you have clear dark skies at the right time, there could be a brief but exciting meteor burst.

A Repeat of the Gamma Delphinid Outburst?
I took my son to see the Leonid meteor storm a couple of different years. The every 33 year storm actually occurs in a cluster of years every 33 years. It was incredible. One year it was fireballs exploding all night long and one year it was hundreds an hour for most of the night. Since the Delphinid outburst was visible even with a full Moon, it could be quite a show of bright meteors, or a dud. If we have clear skies I'll be out in the yard on the chase lounge watching the sky.
