If you have a pic of Giorgio Tsoukalos as your avatar, you don't have to bother slanting your words. It goes without saying
I bought a brand new laptop for my niece and it's been delivered! To Lancaster South Carolina! Where I don't live! So I contacted the seller through amazon.com and asked him what was going on. But then amazon sent me a message saying that he had left the network, and couldn't be reached through them anymore. I looked up his feedback, and two other people have had the same problem with him in the past 3 days. He's only been active on amazon for about a week, so it looks like he's still ironing out the kinks in his business. Yup, this seems like a completely routine goof up! I'm sure it'll be fixed soon.
Update: I called up the amazon fraud department, to talk to them about the totally normal experience I'd had with their third party. Afterward I got this email at 9:09 PM. (emphasis mine) At 9:10 PM I got this email So I guess that was a really hard call to make!
So someone in South Carolina got a free laptop, and you got your money back! Yay! But now you got to find another laptop for your niece.
I know. There are ones with similar specs, but they all have only 8 GB of RAM and that one had 16. Edit: Of course it was probably actually drugs, so I guess 16 GB of RAM wasn't what it had either.
So tomorrow is my birthday, and I was thinking about treating myself by buying a PS4 or an Xbox One... but I just can't wrap my head around spending $350 to $500!
Ooh, tomorrow's the day I get paid. Sadly, I have a doctor's appointment too, so I can't hit the town and spend the lot, as is my typical payday routine.
I have a food idea for everyone. Brown Rice cooked with salt and butter, with brown sugar mixed in after cooking.
I'm new to the tavern, but seeing as I'm not that active on the forum and I'd like to get to know the community a bit better, I felt it was a good idea to pop in. On Monday I'm traveling to see my parents and dogsit for them. I can't say I'm too excited about that, seeing as the dog I'm meant to be looking out for has a fascination with eating my clothing and trying to trip me over.
Been playing Zelda: Wind Waker HD and finding myself having trouble with the same stuff I had trouble with back in the Gamecube release in 2003. Some things never change.
I have been restless as all get out lately and unfortunately I have reverted back to my night owl ways... *sighs despondently* dammit....
Hello all! Got back from Gamestop and got the following: Twilight Princess HD Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition Tales from the Borderlands
Mornin' all, I have not died. Missus and I are expecting baby. I will be away for a while. See you on the other side... Wayjor
I'm thinking of leaving FB and spending all of that wasted time writing and learning things from sites like this one. I don't want to just disappear, but don't want to be dramatic either.
I left Facebook several months ago, probably one of the more productive things I've done in my life. In hindsight, my experience amounted to little more than an endless stream of affirmations of my political disposition and world views. It became extremely boring. But then I've never used Facebook for any personal social purpose. It may be more challenging to leave if you have to justify it to your friends and family.
I play gigs with a band a couple times a month, and Facebook has been our best advertising tool. Besides that, I'm sick of it. People are either making their lives more dramatic, or letting others know how stupid they are if they don't agree with their candidate for president. I'm a bit disappointed with myself for constantly checking in.
Ah, I've been in a similar position but I use a dummy account for business functions...but then I'm not in a band and people aren't really concerned about my identity.
I'd have deleted Facebook a long time ago, but I'm kind of locked in. Every website I frequent uses my Facebook account to automatically log me in... Including this one.
I know it's possible to just ignore it, but flat out walking away would be an accomplishment for me. I want to spend more time in a current writing project, and doing away with Facebook would be a big distraction off my mind.
There are ways around it. Although, I am somewhat impeded by some sights which won't allow an account to be made without a Facebook login. I just chalk those up to the game is missing potential users (like myself) who don't use Facebook. I've found that I'm a much happier person without political rhetoric being shoved down my throat every time I log in. I'm also a tad disconnected from the social sphere, I suppose there are pros and cons to everything. All in all, I wouldn't make another personal account. If anything, when I start trying to publish a novel, I'll make an author page and begin to build an internet presence because that seems necessary.
