What, if any, are some ways for somebody who is a competent writer to get paid for their skill? I understand that writing a book or getting a short story published are a couple of options, but what are some other ways? There has to be people out there looking for good writers. Any thoughts?
Articles, fillers and writing for the greetings card industry. Businesses sometimes employ writers, either as one offs or in house, to write their literature. That's all that comes to my mind at the minute.
