    "Turning a new one?"

    Words.
    So many.
    Coming from you.
    You've changed, you say.
    If only I could believe!

    Spring.
    Born anew.
    The flowers blossom.
    Life emerges, I witness.
    Such a sea of green!

    Sad.
    You try.
    But I doubt.
    Yet nature, I believe.
    What worth, a man's word?

    Giving Way

    Twirling, swirling, they
grow, they see. Free falling now
    to rot on the ground

    Not wanting to give
Life back to the mother tree
    Dead. Without a sound.

    Young

All curled up and furled up
    Warm under white blankets
    I’m waiting, I’m waiting,
    I’m free!
    What’s that? Oh, the sun.
    And there? That’s the grass.
And me? I’m the leaves on a tree?
It’s so warm, and the wind …
It is wind, am I right?
It plays with me – so slightly, a dance.
Who’d have thought that outside of my small little shell,
Such a world was just waiting by chance.

    The Watcher

    The Watcher

Crescent bright, the archer nocks her star.
Deep in the wood, a dimpled vale
Ringing in birch and pine and maple,
A shy, sweet face watching from afar.

    Faded leaves and needles dark.
Formed a cloak, once warm and bright,
    From the winter's bitter bit.
Zephyr's kiss returning, heralding the lark.

Clad in green and silvery dew, glowing.
Serenaded, a symphony of spring peepers,
Deep bass of the mighty bull frog.
    Doe eyes, gentle and knowing.

Betwixt the trees, a fleeting grace.
A glimpse of fawn, there and gone.
And then, in a dappled ray...
    Appears a small, shy face...

A Violet, smiling in the patterned light.
Clad in green and silvery dew, glowing.
A flower so new and bright.

    AH , YOUTH

    Stubble, like budding leaves
    In spring, dots his chin.
    He’s a green youth who
    cleaves this pseudo heart.

    Incipient still, he moves
    without conscious swagger
    Or calculation and
    Approves of all with a
    sweeping grin.

    He radiates rapturous scent;
    Bottled or emanating?
    You Ophrys spider, you orchid.
    What torment, not to pollinate
    a bloom like you.

(Poem is about when Queen Mary I inherited her fathers throne)

    Bloody Mary

The young red queen was cold as ice,
she claimed the throne to roll her dice.
Her dice was made of human skin,
in shadow of her fathers sins.
