    Heaven

Clouds that stretch so peaceful and pink,
Sun shining so bright it makes you blink,
Everything clam, not a single care,
    Always quite and always bare,
Yet every second through out the day,
There’s laughter and giggles and so much to say,
It’s never quite yet never loud,
When you’re high above the wondrous cloud,
The loved ones the have passed away,
Once came here and are still today,
Heaven is were I’m talking about,
Such a peaceful place I have no doubt,
And when you too have passed away,
You will go there and want to stay.

    Gone but not Forgotten

    I'm hidden in the open,
    unseen in plain eyes view.
Waiting for you to witness me,
but when you look, you see right through.

An old photo of me on the mantel,
a gold script reading Rest in peace,
    afterlife is an oxymoron.
Stuck on earth as a living deceased.

I scream pure silence in your ears,
your hair moves with my every breath.
I hug you 'till sweat pours down my brow,
yet you shiver against my cold death.

This morning I had decided to leave
(for there was no point in staying here)
One last futile whisper- goodbye my love,
you jump and grab your ear.

Alas! a sign you feel me!
I shall waver from you no more...
our hearts are connected even through death,
I choose true love, and close heavens door.

    Night Told Me to Die

    Night (Black creature of dreams).
Seek me, oh seeker that sings.
Breathe me a song of latent despair. Despair!
Let me sink in your misty stare that does stare.

Darkness, hold me in arms of faded memories.
I want to see what the night—that death—sees.
Is it cloudy up there where the souls do dwell?
Does it burn (Oh, burn!) like the fires of hell?

The spirits are calling! I hear them dancing,
Lit by the spell of Night’s romancing.

    I, the Ghost

They cry, they scream, they haunt my nights,
When I try peacefully to sleep,
As I, the Ghost, will look at them,
And simply say, “Do not weep”.

    “Look towards the ground,
    And all around,
For really, what are you now?
    Nothing but a figment, and
They will be frightened at your sound.
So how can you live, how do you think I?
When there is so much peace we set,
Believe you me, they will not miss you,
When it is time you truly met.
They are all too scared of us,
But not the fact that we are no longer alive,
They are simply scared that them, like us,
Will for no longer be able to thrive.”

    At this,
We all looked at him, the Ghost,
    And looked to one another,
    Whom left behind a son,
    A daughter,
    And maybe even a mother.

    Now with smiles,
    We forget the sorrow,
    For we are still alive!
It’s time to rejoice and time to see,
How happy it is to survive!

    “And I, the Ghost,
    Will just sit back,
    And look around the room,
At all of them who are no longer with you,
With those you thought left you too soon.
    For Death I cannot stop,
But at least make it for them a happy stay,
And I will move on, continue my journey,
As they stay in your hearts and play.”

    Sparkly

    Sparkling angel in torn jeans
    and a faded floppy shirt;
    a smile like the sun
for the fortunate few to see

    Champion of the lost boys
    forsaken by the world;
    Fearless champion none dared face
when her boys she did defend

Taken too soon, a heart that paused
but never failed for those she loved

    The day we said goodbye
    replied a raven’s cry
    winged spirit, free at last
    to dance upon the sky

Mourned always through the time apart
Yet on she lives, within my heart
