The Itnernet just might die :(

According to this: 2010: D-Day for the Internet

Needless to say thi sis cause for warning and I prupose we boycott YouTube immediately. We'll probably fail sicne no human being ever cares about anything until they don't have it anymore but we can try and pretend we're makign a difference... what were we talking about?

    Y-2 and 1/10-K

    That'd be it.

I think everything will be fine. Every now and again, these things pop up. I remember when people said the Devil was coming back 6/06/06 but it never happened. Murder and death rates on that day were actually lower than they were in the past ten years on that day. So, I'm sure we'll be fine. :)

I highly doubt that they would allow such a thing to happen as internet is so vastly used in so many ways it isn't funny. The world would come to a communication halt and there is no way the government would allow for this to happen.

Last I heard the US Government hates the internet. Not very fun to allow the number one place of desintion and identiy theft the thrive right? Plus the US Government has its own private internet (Its operated by the DoD and they love they're own private isolated system that can't be accessed from the outside). They don't need the one we use and is the US backs out, the internet we know won't live long.

Yes that episode of South Park was lame except for the ending which was hilarious! Go Kyle!

Yes but I highly doubt that they would want to deal with over a million people going GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR We want our net back or we'll hack you to pieces and feed those pieces to the wormy worms!

Thats the brilliance of it. The US Government has no need for the internet (They never have really) and thus they can't be held responsible for anything that happens to it because they've never overly involved themselves with it. If it crashes people can complain all they want but there is nothing the government can do about it (Even if they wanted too do something).

Seems odd that whenever I have internet issues I'm being routed through an AT&T routing center. Just makes me think that they have been slacking considerably, whereas everyone else has actually setup for reasonable bandwith usage.

I hope so. Knowing the people who use the internet, they'll just make a petition which as we all know ahs never solved anything in the last century. The last petition I know of that actually worked was the petition to end slavery in Great Britian (circa early 19th century).

The intenet will probably still be there but I'll bet we'll have to pay more for it.

that is just disgusting and I am sure we can all find a better way to get results. After all we are writers! We have broad imaginations and extremely creative...think people think :p

I still doubt it will happen though.

Well at the end of the day its just the internet. we lived without it before we will just have to suffer on without it again. We can't have everything we want.

Besides You can bet that the government wont let it die and you can bet all these other companies wont let it die. So sit back enjoy the ride because they all have way too much cash to lose if the internet goes. ;)

Who's kidding himself that the net's really gonna go? :p As Raven said, there's simply no chance of that happening.

What? Capitalism is the only economic system that will allow it to happen. You don't finance something it collapses. The correct statement is investors probably won't let it happen.
