Born and raised in America, in the nice, green, widely non-religionist, usually unmentioned state of Washington .
wow I feel slightly lame...I was born and raised in the US and have lived in multiple states and I definately don't even know all the capitals...(I do know all of the states thankfully ) It's very pleasant. Very beautiful, very green, mild weather, lots of water, and really not as horribly rainy as people like to say it is contrary to popular belief, there is actually plenty of sunny days
We had to learn all the capitals and then be able to label all the states and their capitals on a blank map in a certain amount of time. Now, of course, I couldn't do that to save my life. Yellow, someday I need to come visit you in Washington! Joel's dad lives up there, but we haven't gone up in like two years.
I'm from the US. Specifically, the sunshine state! Florida is... What's a good way to describe it? Filled with incapable drivers... Lol. And it rains... All the time... So... Sunshine state my ass...
Glad you weren't affected by the floods too badly. It really does sound ghastly over there atm. I've heard things from friends and it makes me so damn happy to be living over here in WA. Scary how we've had a massive heat wave over here, and you've had flooding over there.
I always want to go to Israel. Visit the biblical places like Jerusalem, Bethleham, Nazerath and Galliee.
I think it'd be cool to visit Israel. Yay, another UK person. Also, your name 'Mr Swashbuckler' amuses me.
The username reminds me of a favorite TV series I once watched called Horatio Hornblower. I kinda like this guy better than Richard Sharpe. To me, Horatio defined British naval warfare during the Napoleonic Wars.
Ah, not read either of those series although plan to, but I know what you mean. And it totally does seem to fit in with them.
Just wondering, Link, but have you ever read Patrick O'Brian's Aubrey/Maturin series of books? I think you'd get on well with them.
