    Hello there!

I love the French language, btw. I'm gonna make it my goal to completely learn French and spend a year in France. :D

Slow going, I'm afraid due to college. :/ I'm committed, and that's what counts.

EDIT: The reason I didn't take French as a foreign language class in college is because I picked Spanish instead (since that seems to be the language that's most commonly spoken here besides English).

I disagree. I love the way german sounds.

Then again, I'm not very "nice," though...

I'm learning Spanish and French, and though I prefer the sound of those languages above German (because they're more... soft) I think it's an interesting language- I probably should learn it.

I've heard many folks talk in german and I thought it was very soft and pleasant sounding. To be honest, I think French sounds absurd.
It sounds ok to my ear if a female is speaking it, but completely over-the-top when males speak it. I'm not sure why I think this. I guess just from listening to the voice acting in video games for different languages to amuse myself.

Well I think it really depends of the person speaking it- you have Germans that really seem to yell.

Any language sounds ugly when shouted.

Well they aren't actually yelling- it just sounds like that a bit.

And hey, Italian is still nice when shouted.

I just find the French language so wonderful. :) Then again, I'm pro-French 100%, and once upon a time I had Napoleon as an avatar so there. :p

I don't really like Dutch- probably for the same reason.

I'm Belgian (well, half Dutch actually). Yeah, I can understand a lot of a conversation if I'm concentrating on it... don't ask me to start speaking German, though.
