Introducing oneself with a riddle may not observe the protocol, but I like to test the waters, and hope to find some outside-the-box thinkers, kindred wordsmiths and wise counsel. Is this the place? Also, was it worth the 2 week wait to get your own posts reviewed? Thanks for even the briefest reply. CoJo
Hi, definitely an unusual introduction, but welcome. I would say the two week wait was worth it. It gave me time to get to know the forum, the other members who are actively contributing, to see other writing styles and reviews, and it gave me time to make my own contributions to threads.
Welcome to the madhouse! I see you're suitably weird for our ranks. Perfect. I assume you'll fit right into our uniform ; Follow these links if you want some info: https://www.writingforums.org/faq/. https://www.writingforums.org/rules/. If you want "wise counsel" there's definitely some elder members with success in publishing who can help you. Including our wonderful staff. (One of these days they'll recognize me as official greeter. One Of These Days. (Shakes fist)) Anyway, have fun and a beautiful day!
Umm... don't judge me and I won't judge you? It's all a blurb? ...so apparently there's a reason I don't write jokes. Welcome! For me, the value in this forum is the community rather than the workshop so yes, it was worth the wait. Even if you're just looking for critique, I haven't found anywhere on the web you can jump in and get critique without contributing your own time first. The quality of critique you'll get here is variable (like on every site) but I've no doubt you'll find it useful.
Yup, it seems like a long wait, and then you realize you've been posting around, getting to know people, seeing some good stuff, and wow, I could have posted a week ago....
