    A nice bit of love poetry

    Hiyas. I was wonderin if everyone could contribute a line or two of love poetry... Since I'm not so good at it yet.

    Everywhere, Always
    Have you read any Shakespeare?

    O MISTRESS mine, where are you roaming?
    O stay and hear! your true-love’s coming
    That can sing both high and low;
    Trip no further, pretty sweeting,
    Journeys end in lovers’ meeting—
    Every wise man’s son doth know.

    What is love? ’tis not hereafter;
    Present mirth hath present laughter;
    What’s to come is still unsure:
    In delay there lies no plenty,—
    Then come kiss me, Sweet-and-twenty,
    Youth’s a stuff will not endure.

    This is one I wrote a long time ago. It was for someone. The whole story between us is tragic, really.

    If I could touch your eyes
    And make you see again
    What it is to trust and obsess
    I would.
    The world to you, I wish it!
    And the burden lifted from your shoulders.
    I can see the damage life has caused you.
    I could soothe that.
    I was watching over when you didn't know
    And saw the pain and fear behind your smile.
    Oh, that I could turn on the lights in your world!
    And make the demons go away.
    I'm knocking on your door.
    Let me in.
    I could be your Goddess.
    I could be the world to you.

    Oh, this one, too. One of my favorites. My flow kinda started to deteriorate in the second verse, though.

    Black Light

    I always hoped that I would find
    Inside of you, inside your mind
    A comfortable void
    A place where I could hide.
    Your aura screams of fire and life
    I waited in darkness, you brought the light
    I need your touch
    Cause you just feel so right.

    Now I fall into reality

    I need you to keep me from fading away
    Lie to me if it feels okay
    Truth doesn't matter
    I'll follow anyway.
    Now we're about to cross the line
    Your body flowing in rhythm with mine
    You get me like a drug
    Inducing bliss and wonder sublime.

    Don't let me fade.
    Only your touch can save.
