What if my characters realized they were in a book, and tricked me into writing them escaping so they could then force me to write their own perfect world?
What if schools, libraries and all educational T. V. shows and websites were banned and the only way to learn anything was by word of mouth? What if society was based on a discriminatory hierarchy of hair and eye color? What if children were segregated from adults who got to run their own society? What if the societies in "1984" by George Orwell and "Brave New World" by Aldus Huxley occur 100 years after the books were written? What if the Earth runs out of fossil fuels? What if a small number of Aliens or an Alien drone secretly controlled the world who want to weaken the human race as much as possible until the rest of the Aliens arrive? What if machines become sentient and overthrow the human race? What if all Police forces and militaries were abolished and everyone had to fend for themselves? What if Greek and Roman gods are real and alive today, just they don't want their existence to be known to the public at large? What if your main character is dead, and he doesn't realize it until the end of the narrative? What if 50 years from now everyone would rather live in Virtual Reality with electronic pleasure diodes than real life where real life keeps getting worse and worse? What if everyone had a hive mind, who like sheep, always do what everyone else is doing, and never understand or question why? What if everyone was immortal? What if everyone had about a 20% chance or so of mutually falling in love with everyone they met, but it only lasted a short time? What if monkeys overthrew humans?
