They're quite interesting, it can't be denied. Like what they do with it or not, what they do with the genre is different from what we're used to.
"Just Like Fire" by Pink. I find it very uplifting and empowering, but without being cheesy/obnoxious.
Dug up a translation of the lyrics that seems okay from my limited understanding: http://www.kiwi-musume.com/lyrics/minimoni/minimonitelephonerinrinrin.html
It's not the lyrics being dark, it's just somehow too happy. It's kind of demented. I don't know. It's also kind of annoying.
It's a four year old jacked up on sugar, caffeine, and just a little bit of alcohol, released into a bunny farm with a bucket full of glitter on their birthday..... And this one's even more annoying:
When I first arrived in Japan, they were quite popular. There I am, fresh off the boat, wandering into a gaijin bar with a video jukebox blaring out some insane, brightly colored gibberish. You know what they say, first impressions are lasting impressions. There's more current annoying music, if you're interested.
And maybe Vivaldi even more than Bach. I don't know the names of his songs, they have very complicated titles, but this is a nice one:
Dang, that was really good. I don't typically listen to classical artists like Vivaldi because, well, I just never really found my way around them. I did listen to some Mozart pieces last year and I enjoyed them. Since then, I've been thinking about looking into more classicals. I like instrumental and what you linked was a good example. I just like those dramatic "ups" of the song. I believe they're called chorus because they repeat? Not sure.
