My Heart's in the Highlands. It's beautiful. And it describes exactly how I feel about the Highlands myself. 'My heart's in the Highlands, My hearts not here, My heart's in the Highlands, achasing a deer. Whereever I go and whereever I roam, My heart's in the Highlands, My heart is home'.
Very interesting poem. I must have been somewhere else when he wrote this because of his opening line 'My heart's in the Highlands, My hearts not here I never knew there are/were deers in the highlands?
I have strange eating habits. It seems that the best way for me to design the world around my characters is to eat the food they eat. This helps me see what affects it has on my person both physically and mentally. At the moment I am delving into The culture of The Krobins. They only eat animals that they can not find in their homelands. So This is what I have been eating for the past few weeks: Snake (Raw Brain, Heart), Raccoon, Rabbit (Drowned in a red and white wine mix) and Cat. All this just to get a better feeling of what my Cultures go through.
do you mean the deers are common in the highlands? I was sure they were part the English makeup..or am I mistaken?
They are common in the Highlands. They used to be common and wild across the English isles, but they are no longer wild or common in areas.
I do not know why I thought it was too cold for them. Talking of haggis I have yet to taste it. It is an rather acquired taste.
that is liquid..I can only drink coffee in the mornings and has to be before 9 am. Isn't staple mean something solid.
Oh I see. I thought it had lots of blood in it or is that just made up? I bet the haggis we get in London is not authentic like you have to go to Scotland to taste the real thing.
You think I'm bloody strange don't you. To answer your question it is quite succulent after i marinated it.
Well, outside of Scotland the best haggis I have found is weirdly in Sunderland. Most other places it's either horrible and mushy or just wrong.
It's a good thing I live there. Also being 21 and living with a bunch of friends, drunk, mostly irresponsible, and got plenty of money to spend on myself Sunderland is the best place to live, really.
haha...young is good, drunk is fine and irresponsible is part of the fun I say. As long as it is not impacting on anyone else it is the best thing to have...carefree I call it. I have never been to Sunderland I hear it is a very posh place.
Depends on where in Sunderland you go. I live in Grangetown, which is a really nice part of the city, Pallion just beside me has nice and rough places and Pennywell, just next to that, is pretty much a no-go area.
Wrong. I have Many pets that i may or may not eat or sell one day. I own: One cat, Two dogs, One bird, Three rabbits...... Never Mind Two Rabbits, One Horse, And A goat. P.S I would never eat my animals they are my only family.
^ Everything but Ireland. I think it might be a regional thing, as I've not heard that outside of Nothumberland.
