When does editing stop being useful?

    unfortunately, a sizable percentage of those who want to be writers are poor writers due to being poor readers... so the whole exercise is futile, if not meaningless...

    it's not 'defeatist'... just a sad truth...

    however, if a poor reader works hard to become a good one, then s/he could have a chance to become a good enough writer...
