is there any way to mute threads?

Discussion in 'Support & Feedback' started by elynne, Oct 7, 2014.

I've looked all over the site, but haven't found a way to mute/ignore specific threads, rather than individual posters. if this is a function that exists but hasn't been enabled, would it be possible to activate it?

Hmm. You don't just mean unwatching threads that you posted to and don't want to hear about any more, right?

Assuming that's not what you mean, then I fear I'm clueless.

nope, I mean marking certain threads so they don't show up in "new posts" or on the "alerts" sidebar.

there are a lot of answers I could make to this, ranging from informative to sarcastic.

Well you can't hide them from the new posts page. But up at the top of the page, under the header, but above the thread title, there's a link that says "unwatch page." Or "watch page" if you aren't watching the page. Toggle that and you won't see it on your alerts anymore.
