Where can I find debate clubs or debating sessions?

Discussion in 'Debate Room' started by The95Writer, Mar 2, 2014.

I really enjoy the topic of science and religion; taking part in some discussions and debates would be ideal for my speaking skills and knowledge. Any ideas as to where I need to look?

Has Meetup come to the UK yet? Here it is a great online source for finding local like-minded groups of all kinds.

I would look at local schools or universities, though you might need to be affiliated with them to participate in the debates. Or just Google for local debate clubs.

I had this idea of having formal debates on this forum, but that hasn't really gotten anywhere. Maybe with more support we can give it a shot.

It is good to debate on the online but I do it all the time; I want to practice my vocal communication skills especially in a formal way. So that is why I want to get into vocal debates.

It is best to participate in debates and round table discussion at universities. Not only will you meet professional and experts, you will also be trained to make powerful arguments.
