    Who's still online?

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by DarkMaiden273, Aug 14, 2008.

Ok so like who's still here. It's past midnight my time zone and everyone at my house is asleep. I'm now offically bored.

Anyway just wondering who all was still here cause most posts I've gone too have had most people offline. :(

Well I'm pretty bad at keeping with most people's time schedules. MI usually end up staying up until like 2 or 3 A.M. in the morning and then getting up at like 10 or 11 A.M. It annoys my mom badly.

Wow, your sleeping schedule is pretty much the same as mine. So, what else do you like to do, other than putting off sleep?

Music. I love listening to my music. My I-pod crashed for 3 days and it was like withdrawal. I also like to read a lot!! I read about 2 or 3 books a month. I try to read series. Single books don't seem to hold me long. I also love to write, but don't think I'm good. And I draw. But that's really bad. I also do two sports--volleyball and basketball-- I do love them but IDK I don't really know if going to keep doing them.
My brother is in two sports and they're his whole life. Family pressures him. I couldnt handle that.

    How about you?

I love to watch anime and play video games. I also work on my novel. I'm sure you're a good writer. You shouldn't be too critical of your own work.

Yay I guess. Ok so then honestly I guess I think I'm ok, but not good enough to have published or read by other people.

What anime and video games? Might not know--I don't watch and play to much, but some.

Oh hey-off topic but have you ever watched Red vs. Blue? It's a Machinama--Sorry cant spell---off of the video game Halo

No I haven't. As for anime, I like Rurouini Kenshin, Get Backers, Full Metal Alchemist, Deathnote, Code Geass, Samuri Champloo, and FLCL to name a few. With video games, I like the Final Fantasy series, the Metal Gear Solid series, Star Ocean: Till the End of Time, and many more.

I used to watch some more or pay more attention but I haven't really been home mush this summer. My dad though keeps trying to hook me on shows he watches. And-this is kin d of wierd-my dad's fav. show is Dragon Ball Z. I no strange. Though I don't think it's too bad. L.O.L.

Dragon Ball Z was an alright show, though it did get a little over the top at times.

I agree. My dad though he's gone a little over the top. He's buying all the DVD's. And trying to watch every single episode that comes on. Though I think he pretty much already has.

Grrr! I hate keyboards. And those little red lines under words! Anyway...

So, what kind of stories do you like to write?

Fantasy. I usually either create my own world and characters or I just invent the characters and put like vampires and dragons or something like that into our world.

    You?

Same here. I created my own world for my novel.

I said this in another post but it's still completly true. 'I find it harder to make the relationships between my characters than it is to create my world.'

I completely agree. Relationships and action are probably the hardest things to do.

    Question:

What do you do when the action-adventure-mystery-etc...etc... --turns into a forbidden romance type thing? I mean my story sill has battles and fight scenes and is still a type of mystery cause it keeps you guessing to the end, but I find more and more that that's what it seems to be turning into.

If that seems to be where the story wants to go, then let it. What kind of romance is going on in this story?

Well my main characters are Aurora and Kaleb. Aurora is half human-half harpy and Kaleb is human and the son of the leader of the Resistance. The Resistance is currently fighting a war against the Empire and the Queen-Vampire- who favors monsters and humans as slaves, though because of magic we-humans- don't know the monsters exist.

And then there's the fact he's supposed to capture her but decides not to and that they can't tell each other their secrets but he secretly knows hers. She's also in a prophecy-hence reason for capture and many other things involved.

It's all just so confusing as my characters always seem to be in my head talking and acting out scenes so feel like I'm playing catch-up but still not sure if it's going to work out between them. You no like dad has to say no but mom's going yes and they're in the middle.... 'sigh'

Thanx... the prologue explains most of this so not that confusing in there but still is cause complicated!

Yeah, trying to keep up with your characters can be challenging. My story has a lot of characters, and its like they sometimes just don't want to cooperate.
