    Where to get a journal?

Discussion in 'The Lounge' started by LUKEEHHH, May 23, 2013.

I'm sure this has been asked a lot but I really want to get a journal with college ruled lines and with enough pages to last me awhile. I've been searching around stores the past few days and all I'm finding is crappy or really girly journals (I'm a guy). I've been looking how to make your own journals on YouTube as well but I don't have any experience in crafts. Any suggestions? Thanks so much! :)

I suspect that if I recommend specific brands I may be violating site policy(?). But I can recommend that you try searching online shopping sites for "notebook" or "bound notebook" rather than "journal". "Journal" or "diary" does tend to either be girly or be a calendar; "bound notebook" seems to find a fair number of interesting things.

eBay. They've 9 gajillion in every style, color, cover, you could ask for. From tooled leather with oh-so-Wiccan motifs for your grimoire needs, to slick and modern. Take your pick. :)

Leuchtturm 1917 is what I use (available in limited supply on Amazon). I know a few people who swear by Moleskin.

I found my journal at Walmart. It's just a black-leather, acid-free paper one I think fits fine as a man's journal. I've used it fairly regularly over the last 2 years, and I bet I can get another six months out of it before running out of room.
