    Where to send my story

Discussion in 'Publisher Discussion' started by Gisella_M, Nov 16, 2015.

I'm just polishing a short story at the moment. I'll be looking for some critiques through here as soon as I have given some myself, butin the mean time I am looking for a home for it.

It's a lesbian erotica story, but in a more realistic style than most I have read (and I've read quite a few), it's also very English. I haven't got it on this computer but I think it is about 3k long.

Any ideas, I've spent quite a while trawling google and P&W but not had much luck.

This is a useful database showing where you can submit various types of writing in various genres and what their acceptance rates are. Good luck!

Duotrope is also an excellent resource, although it now requires a small monthly payment.

I suggest that you join groups on Facebook dedicated to open calls. I frequently see calls for short stories. Not exclusively for Lesbian Erotica, but I am sure that one will come up eventually!
Also, you can go to Amazon and see who is publishing books like that. Find out who is putting them out, then simply ask them if they have any anthologies in the works, since you have something that might be a good match for them.
