I think I'll put it this way. There is nobody on this forum (any more) that I wouldn't like to meet. It would be great fun. I'm sure we'd all walk away with opinions reinforced AND opinions changed. It would be fun to all take our skins off for a wee while.
@Komposten : There's not more than a 100 people posting with any sort of regularity on the forum. Only they are invited, for now
Posting once a day is just as regular as posting once a year. Anyway, does IoW have an airport, or will I have to swim?
Slather yourself in fat and we'll be waiting by the shoreline with a warm towel and a hot cup of tea. Should hypothermia set in, at least there's a resident doctor on call.
There's a ferry from Southampton, and I think it has an airport nearby. I agree, for forum purposes even posting once is valid. But there has to be a line drawn somewhere. I had a hundred people gatecrash my party once, actually the party spilled over onto the street and into the club (that was opposite my apartment building) and if it wasn't for twelve military pilots in training who policed it (two of them twins!) it would've been a disaster. What I'm saying is, we need a few pilots

Hmm, about the same as a British fruit cider over here, so it makes no difference... and ironically, I am a metalhead... so it really must be a metalhead chick thing... i drink both Kopparberg and Rekordalig, it has to be the mixed fruit/winter fruit/strawberry and lime or else i wont touch it... (i dont do pear, cherry or apple ciders)
When I played outdoor laser skirmish tournaments we all had our 'gaming' names. Most of the guys I never knew their real name. Socially, and during competition it was all gaming names. Same happened with tournament VR Mechwarrior. I don't know any of their real names. We all got together, had pizza and beer, and just called each other by our call-signs. (ah, the good old days.)
i still have one dude from a metal forum that has now shut, call me by a shortened version of my username from there, despite the fact he knows my name!
S'funny that, even when I go outta my way to tell someone my given name, (I go by my initials) some people still end up calling me by my screen name. Mine tends to get shortened to 'Obs' for obvious enough reasons; it's a bit of a mouthful. One online gamer acquaintance insists on calling me Trixibell just to piss me off in the middle of Insanity level firefights. Wouldn't be the first time I've sneakily sniped him in the back of the head out of pure badness, when I'm supposed to be covering his ass.
in fairness, the nickname he used was one that was already given to me by my friends at school (because of my dislike of twilight...) and i chose to elaborate it slightly
true! but i you wouldnt want to know the names i call him (and seriously, half of them he told me to call him too, im wondering this guy's sanity levels)
